When Link drew the Goddess Sword from the pedestal in the Statue of Hylia, Fi registered Link as her Master, and nothing more. When Link dropped the True Master Sword into the pedestal in the Temple of Hylia, she de-registered Link, but still said some last words to him, as she saw him as a hero and friend.

Tears of the kingdom ending makes me tear up. It did have heart and emotion (in my book) but NOT as much as this game. In this game both Zelda AND Link have so much emotion in their faces during the goodbye scenes it just cant be helped. I can never watch this scene without crying a river of tears. So beautiful ❤❤

Tears of The Kingdom was a great story, but I don't think any Zelda game has hit me harder than this one. The writers went crazy for Skyward Sword. And the music here does alot of heavy lifting too. Best Zelda story

My mother died the year SS came out. This game helped me to cope and grief, but the moment Fi said Farewell, it felt like saying truly goodbye to my mother. It crushes me everytime.

I never completed The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword as a kid because I was a weird kid and liked to restart my save files continuosly. When you meet Old Impa, she already has Zelda's bracelet.

Throughout every Zelda game, Link has always had a special companion to guide him and help along the course of the game. For example: Ocarina of time, Navi Twilight Princess, Midna Skyward Sword, Fi. Botw was probably the only game where Link didn’t have a special companion. Sure Zelda guided him for important parts of the game, and in the DLC (trial of the sword) Fi is awakened with the master swords light and sound. My point is, that he was really all alone in the world, with no one to regularly associate himself with. Hope he gets a magical companion in the sequel to “Breath of the Wild”.

When people wish for botw2 that Zelda appears more often or even accompanies you... And I'm like: please no, tbh I find the new Zelda (Skyward sword onwards) annoying. But I wouldn't mind them bringing Fi back to accompany us. 🥺 I think I even heard her sound effect once in botw when the master sword was glowing up.

let's be honest, we all do agree that Fi was a little bit annoying right? like reminding our controller's battery over the time, but it still shatters our heart when watching her farewell
