Beautiful pieces .....I've seen many that have been done with no notion of line, or balance.

Thank you for posting! I love your tutorials, but I find the acoustics difficult as an older person. It’s quite a strain to hear.

I want to take the class. Originally ATL was supposed to have a September session (that’s a reason I took my sabbatical that month). Now it’s not happening anymore. 😢

I started as a processor at a grocery store. That was a well rounded beginning experience! I quickly learned several different styles and immersed myself in merchandise and design, when I wasn't doing the truck. I had a wonderful, patient manager that would put out my worst arrangements and make me feel super proud of what I'd made. On my off days I'd go "intern" at high end shops. Sometimes for no pay. I quickly moved up to management at the grocery store and was given the first Super Premium store in the history of the chain!

Michael, i always put a thicker wire all the way up into the snap dragon so it stays up and doesn't fold and break and you can manipulate it slightly

I love that you mention using the scraps! I'm part of a small organization called 2nd Life Flowers. We take flowers that the grocery store is throwing out, and we salvage the ones that are still in good condition to make arrangements for the local funeral homes/senior center. The flowers are usually pretty sad by the time we trade them out with our next donation a week later, but I'm going to try to get some of our supporters to donate some crowning glory to help keep them nice longer! (We bleach the water, but we can't really go in and cut the stems every few days. I haven't been soaking the entire flower when they come in, so I'll try that too). Anyway, thanks again. It's through your videos that I've been able to learn how to provide this service, and now I'm even making a casket spray for a friend whose young daughter died unexpectedly and they can't afford flowers. I'm really nervous about that one since I want it to be perfect for them. Which is why I'm back scouring through all your videos 😅 but again, I can't thank you enough and through your help a small group of us is spreading the joy flowers can bring to those in their twilight years who sometimes feel lost or forgotten.

All of the designs are beautifully designed and such a treat to see. For your consideration…when cutting the tropicals when using part of the stem, it gives a very nice look to cut the stems at a diagonal rather than flat across, which keeps the visual plane moving up.
