Brilliant video but are you sure Celtic were the home team? If so, why arent they playing in hoops? Also, as you say, Rangers were home on the same day.
@P4ddyBh0y5 күн бұрын
@@GavinDuncan-q1g Until well into the 1980’s, the home team changed in Scotland. It’s also relatively recently they stopped allowing Celtic and Rangers to play home matches at the same time.

Very enjoyable piece. Interesting to put a date on when Christmas became a public holiday in Scotland, 1958 which was about two years before I was born. Happy Christmas.

Great guy... Had the pleasure of being in Joe's company all day yesterday, he's my Uncle's son in law & attended my dad's funeral service... Joe had some amazing stories from his days at Celtic Park plus playing for Scotland where he scored in his debut game against Sweden... Other great stories about, Jinky, Kenny Dalglish, Tommy, Jock Stein... Plus charity games he played with George Best... Priceless craic, will be catching up again soon for a family day out... HH 🍀

I’m a die hard Jambo but George Connelly and Jimmy Johnstone are 2 off my best ever Scottish players. I got his book as a present a few years ago and would love to have his autograph on it. I know he played for Sauchie Juniors and was a taxi driver but I think it is very important that we give him the space he needs. Take care George.

Greatest ever Celtic midfielder Bobby Murdoch, I winced in pain when I googled what age he would have been when he left only for you to tell me he was 28. I did not realise this until right now. Oh and I just bought Bobby Murdoch biography from Amazon, different class, by David Potter. Now, I must get back to work. Thanks for the tip James.

This is superb. I have whinged before about pointless and irritating music despoiling the excellent narrations on Tweet Celtic. This, in contrast, typically allows the drama of the narration, images and footage to stand on its own, meaning one can engage without having to block out extraneous noise. Narration, imagery and footage are brilliant, and must have involved a lot of work.

Celtic history in Europe after 1967 is heartbreaking for us who lived through it. In hindsight after Feyenoord Scotland itself was never as good. Self doubt and deans penalty and the butchers from Atletico. And then the real Madrid semi was the end of gallus. It was recaptured by the squad that lost to porto. The Scottish media has always been and still is the enemy of Scottish football.

Cheers bud enjoyed so racall wearing that strip with the collar way back in the days and among then the rangers stronghold . Great days in the game , and see the grounds back them days , the state of park , yet just got on with it And for me they were better all around footballers than todays spoilt lot . As for George Connelly a cracking footballer and sad how things went later in his life seems .
