For everyone who's still watching and commenting on this video, thank you so much! I really appreciate all the support and responding to your comments has been fun, even when I disagree with your takes. This has become my most viewed video (besides that one really old one that got snatched by the algorithm somehow) and it's really been great to see more people taking interest in the deck 5 months after people thought it was going to be good. If you've been reading my responses to other people, you may have seen me talking about how much I've changed the way I play this deck because of further testing and feedback I've recieved on this video. I'm currently out of the country on a study abroad program, but once I come back I intend to make a new version of this deck profile once ROTA releases in October. If that's something you want to see, maybe consider subscribing! And while you're at it, check out my other Yugioh content. I've been putting a lot of work into a series called Aluber's Comedy Show with a few friends of mine, so if you want to see more from me maybe consider checking that out. Thanks!

@@jim21792 I have been COOKING with that card I’ll have more info if I make the new video but basically here’s what I think: The card is definitely more effective in pure builds that play more copies of mimicry and fuzzy, but the ability to cash in a name that won’t start a combo for a name that will is pretty valuable. The build shown in the video doesn’t have space for it, but the new one that I’ve been working on definitely does. Long story short: cut the main deck PKs and redoer, add in a second rising rebellion falcon, then put 3 cowrie and whatever non-engine you want in the missing spots. The new combo makes rising rebellion falcon on your turn, then uses heel eagle to recycle the rank-up so you can make a second on your opponent’s turn, all while still having enough gas for requiem.

@@jim21792 the Kali lock is an incredibly powerful win condition but consider the following: Raidraptor is probably not as good at resolving a “turn skip” effect as centurion is, so you would be trying to fill a niche that another deck does better and still isn’t massively successful with it Plus, notice how Kali Yuga only stops effects on field. I’d bet money that the top two decks going into INFO format could play in such a way that they can survive your turn 3 and kill you on turn 4 when Kali is no longer live. It’s still a viable win condition, but personally I think it’s much less interesting. Hope that helps!

there are some things i disagree with in this video: noir should be played at 1 copy as an arsenal target to get into heel eagle (you should play 1 copy of him and optionally 1 copy of vanishing lanius just in case you get it in your hand). most versions of the deck dont even play pain lanius because sometimes you cant even use him (you cant lose 0 lp so he doesnt work on raider's wing for example). not playing heel eagle also literally takes away one of the best points of interactions you could possibly ever have on your opp's turn (rising rebellion's board wipe, only second to the kali lock i guess). also, playing 3 copies of simorgh is fine, but I'd rather play 2 simorghs and 1 blackwing zephyros because you can get him on board and into the gy a lot of different ways: with wise strix, arsenal falcon, foolish burial (which you SHOULD play btw because it's a one card combo) and so on. i'd cut singing lanius because at 1 copy you're never gonna see him, plus one more flex spot is always welcome. cut the pk cards in the main deck, raider's wing counts as a pk, is a free special summon and is also a lvl 4 wb monster. replace them with the rank up spell for kali yuga. speaking of yuga, arc rebellion is the only OTK machine you'll ever need in your extra deck, and i'd cut the other monsters because a gagagaga magician with a kali yuga is WAY more threatening. kali yuga can also wipe all spells and traps away so when you eventually slot him in you do not need the dusters and the storms in the side anymore. still, nice vid!
@JackOfAllGames1644 ай бұрын
@@frankinoligozzi I agree that arc rebellion is the best OTK machine, I’m not sure what else you think I’m playing here for the express purpose of OTKing. The other two rebellion dragons are here for interruption on the opponent’s turn. I also explicitly stated in the video that I’m not playing Kali Yuga because I don’t think raidraptor should be trying to fit the niche of turn skipping that centurion already does better, and I don’t think it’s particularly fun or interesting. Lightning storm and feather duster are in the side for going second, as I don’t see how you’re making Kali Yuga into a full stun or labrynth board. Hope this helps!
@JackOfAllGames1644 ай бұрын
Ok the first half of my comment somehow didn’t send so here’s the rest: I do really like noir at 3 since it’s very good to draw as part of our many two card combos. I think pain lanius is very good *alongside* heel eagle as they’re better into different situations. Raider’s wing having 0 attack comes up less than heel eagle’s inability to convert to a rank-4, even if that rank-4 will always be force strix. I also don’t know what you mean by not being able to make the board wipe if I don’t have heel eagle, my combo only makes one rising rebellion falcon so that never ends up being an issue for me, as I demonstrated with the combos in the video. I think 3 simorgh is optimal and I really don’t like zephyros for a few reasons. Pre-phni builds of the deck would almost always get into raidraptor nest or time thief hack, but the new combos only get into roost about 50% of the time, meaning we’re not guaranteed to have a good card to bounce. Zephyros also felt terrible to draw then and even worse to draw now. I’m not sure what you mean by foolish burial being a 1 card combo, the only line I can think of right now is sending mimicry to add tribute to send fuzzy, and I’m not playing fuzzy. Could you elaborate on that? I agree with cutting singing lanius as further testing revealed that I would often brick on it and I could get the extra extension I needed without it, but I found that the time thief package is pretty much necessary for the boards I’m trying to make. Being able to get the rank-up AND a body for one extra rank-4 can be crucial in some hands, especially if we’ve been handtrapped previously. It also doesn’t feel as bad to draw, since shade brig is a free body and we’ll always make a phantom knight before rusty bardiche, meaning we can link off the silent boots for free if we draw it. Again, I think Kali Yuga is probably a viable win condition, I just think centurion’s ability to make king calamity outmatches our ability to make Kali Yuga and I’d rather make something more interactive like dark requiem xyz dragon. Let me know if you have any more questions!

@@JackOfAllGames164 why would you not want free link fodder and recursion (heel eagle), and why would you only want 2 towers if you can make 3 (and interrupt your opp while you're at it) with a common card that costs pennies and that also only takes up one space in your main deck? foolish is a one card combo because you can send mimicry and it adds bloom, and you're always gonna have another raidraptor in your hand because the odds you aren't are insanely low. plus it can bait ash. i also almost forgot to mention, playing swallow's cowrie is SO worth it... it's like playing 6 copies of each of your starters. you can tribute bloom from the hand and if you have 1 more rr in the gy that's full combo too. it also gets zephyros in the gy if you want it to. the dragons are cool for interrupting but people are often maining droplets in today's meta (at least at my locals) so they'd end up being garnets on board more often than not lol. but like, your thought process is correct, what you're saying makes sense, i think we just have different views on how to play this deck and that's totally fine
@JackOfAllGames1644 ай бұрын
@@frankinoligozzi needing another raidraptor in hand means it’s not a one card combo. One card combo implies that you could do it with only foolish burial in hand. I also said that I agree with playing heel eagle- I’m playing it. I would like to make 3 towers, but there’s two reasons why I’m not: 1. Most decks can’t get rid of both so it’s somewhat redundant to make the third 2. Because rise-rank-up raidraptor’s force requires you to summon to a different zone than the monster you use on field, variants that make extra guys with the phantom knights package genuinely don’t have space to do that. If my board has ultimate falcon, rusty bardiche, redoer, a force strix, and dark requiem, that means I have exactly one space to put the rising rebellion that I make using force strix in. I think the solution there would probably be to just not make redoer, but a lot of boards don’t have the material to make him anyway so those boards probably couldn’t make the second RR falcon anyway. I also realized that dark requiem might actually be stronger than Kali Yuga in EXACTLY this format. Kali Yuga only stops effects on field, not in grave, so there’s a pretty high chance that a few of the top decks like snake-eye and yubel can play in such a way that they’ll survive your turn 3 and break your board and kill you on turn 4. I do really want to try out cowrie, I just haven’t thought of what to cut for it. I think going into INFO format where low impact handtraps are becoming less effective against the top decks with the advent of the fiendsmith engine, there could be an argument for only main decking gas and board breakers. But at the end of the day i think you’re right; a lot of players tend to focus too much on being the most optimal, and lose sight of the fact that there might be multiple ways to play the same deck while still being just as optimal. ESPECIALLY with a deck like raidraptor where effectively what we’re arguing about is one or two pieces of an unbeatable end board, when we both know that neither boss monster changes the biggest problem, which is the deck’s weakness to handtraps.

The version of the deck I showed off in the video is 42 cards, but in my current build I’ve gone down to 40. I replaced singing lanius with heel eagle and cut tactics to increase consistency. I wouldn’t recommend claw as glorious bright is just generally a better card and you can’t search both in a single combo. I also did significant testing with vanishing lanius and found that it really isn’t worth it imo. My current goal is to figure out if I miss tactics or not, and if so what to cut for it. Since this deck is largely made from 2 card combos and depends on its extenders you really want to make your build as consistent as possible, and since sometimes you want to draw your rank ups and various spells it really isn’t worth it to go above 40 imo.

@@Murasane I thoroughly agree, I'd love to put tactics back in but there's a big problem with non-engine space atm. Out of all the cards I was playing tactics was the most cuttable, followed by veiler imo. The problem with cutting veiler is that handtraps are still more effective en masse this format, so I'm not willing to go down on my already low numbers of low-impact handtraps. Additionally, since veiler is maybe one of the most played handtraps this format, it's absolutely necessary as a crossout target, especially for how badly it hurts our combos. Effectively, I'd love to play tactics, but at this point I'm not willing to go above 40 and it's probably the least effective piece of non-engine, and after further testing I'm also not willing to cut any of the engine (including the PK package, i've discovered it's more necessary than I thought).

Interesting list, but there are a few things I disagree with: 1. 3 Noir, no Heel eagle: In the build you play, 3 makes some sense, but I doubt that this build would be optimal. If you play 1 eagle, you don't have to play 2.5 bricks because of the PK engine, because the Eagle still provides a rank up interruption to the opponent's turn and you draw less dead cards. 2.No Fuzzy and Foolish burial: Fuzzy is insanely good, very good normal summon + extender and if u normal summon this, then you still have +1 Fuzzy special summon and it's only 1 card. Foolish is also very good to play under handtraps, you have many targets that you can send (raiders wing, mimicry, fuzzy, heel eagle) and if you bricked, you will have a normal summon or + extender with the send fuzzy search fuzzy step. It doesn't matter if you lock it on a raidraptor, the PK engine is unnecessary for the endboard anyway. I think that 3 raiders wing is necessary because in many cases it is the best normal summon. You said that this deck is not a Mannadium that dies from a card, but the fact is that it can die from an imperm or a veiler. (in your 2nd combo video you also play into the imperm, the link would get an imperm and the round would end anyway if you didn't draw a godly good one.) Raiders wing is the best normal going first in the deck if you have any extenders with it.
@JackOfAllGames1646 ай бұрын
Thanks for the suggestions! 1. I've actually decided to start playing heel eagle after running into some matchups where it really mattered that I couldn't bring back a rank-up. My take about it not being necessary in this video was based on my testing experience at the time, but I recently found myself in a scenario where my opponent popped my rise-rank-up with runick destruction the second i grabbed it off wise strix. I realized almost immediately that in that situation having access to heel eagle would have won me the game. 2. People asking me why I don't play fuzzy lanius is maybe the number one comment I get. I agree that the card is insanely strong, but at the cost of varied interaction on your end board. The PK package comes with a calculated sacrifice in consistency for the insane boost in power provided by dark requiem XYZ dragon. I completely get why people wouldn't want to pass up fuzzy, but i don't want to pass up the chance to make requiem, which is something that pretty much only this deck and pure PK can do. The entire point of my build is to sacrifice a bit of consistency to end on a sticky board with varied interaction. The pure raidraptor build that uses fuzzy lanius relies solely on the fact that a lot of decks can get rid of 1 towers but not 2 or 3 through a board wipe and possibly one piece of targeted negation, and that line of thinking doesn't exactly suit my personal playstyle. Ending on 2 towers, a board wipe, a targeted pop (which will be incredibly useful now that tenpai and yubel are running around with their field spells), and possibly redoer and/or glorious, is something that feels a lot more satisfying and powerful to me going into the new format. You said that the PK engine isn't necessary for the end board, and for the *pure* variant that's certainly true. What you need to understand is that this build doesn't exactly classify as pure in my book, it's pretty much a midpoint between the kali yuga turn skip build and the pure build. 3. I understand the argument for playing 3 raider's wing. I've definitely had hands where it was in fact the best normal summon, but the point is that if it's the only engine card you draw it can't do anything, and it's not even a good extender in better hands. I think regardless of how powerful the protection is i'd still always rather draw noir or tribute over it, which is why i'm only on 2. I'm willing to do some testing with 3 tho, I can definitely see the merits of it. Also, I didn't articulate this well in the video, but the reason why you can play through imperm with the wise strix combo is if you have enough extenders in hand after they imperm it, you can just make another one and then overlay for raider's knight. Thanks for the feedback, and let me know if you have any other questions.

@@JackOfAllGames164 Thank you for being open to advice and conversations. Absolutely everyone has their own personal taste in how they want to play their deck, which is why the question should be asked. Do I want to win and achieve good results or just enjoy the game? Obviously, the two are not necessarily mutually exclusive, but there are times when this decision has to be made. If you want to achieve the best possible result, I still say that the pure variant is the better choice. I absolutely understand that 3 Raiders wing is not good for your build, because you play too many normal summons because of 3 Noir and less extenders because there is no Fuzzy. If there were only 1-2 Noirs with 3 Fuzzys and 3 Raiders wings, you would feel much better about Wing normal summon. The PK engine can really make the gameplan more fun, but Requem is still just a win more card next to Raidraptor full combo. It's a bit like the opponent activating a Shifter, summon limit, Dim barrier against you. This is all very powerful, but simply unnecessary, Shifter would be enough, just like the pure Raidraptor combo. The PK engine only makes it brickier and gives unnecessary lose conditions. Nothing will go through 3 towers + quick boardwipe + field omni negate + handtraps, you don't even need Requiem. In your 2nd combo video, if the link is negated, you can continue if you still have an extender, but then this means that you need at least 4 combo pieces, which is unlikely, and you also play fewer extenders because there is no fuzzy. Of course, I can only talk about the optimal side, but this is primarily a card game, and the main thing is to enjoy the game. If you enjoy it more with PK engine, I absolutely understand and accept that. :)

Personally my build its pure except for rebellion arc for otk or time. I used to play "falco fiammata" but arc rebellion its so much powerfull. Abd i dont play it turn 1 luckily. But this lisk seems good. Maybe ill try it on edopro. I advise you to test the pure build i think its more powerful in this format.
@JackOfAllGames1646 ай бұрын
deciding whether to play fuzzy lanius comes down to the trade-off between power and consistency. dark requiem xyz dragon is an insanely powerful card that very few decks have access to, and i like the extra layer of interaction that it provides my end board compared to the pure version. I think I mentioned this in the video, but if your opponent gets rid of your force strix, you can revive it off of requiem's negate so you can still turn it into rising rebellion falcon. I've been experimenting with vanishing lanius because it can be especially powerful as a target for arsenal falcon in weird hands or in conjunction with bloom vulture, or as imperm bait for players that are unfamilar with the matchup i'm slowly changing my mind on heel eagle after getting my rise-rank-up popped by a runick player going second and realizing that card would have literally saved me i see where your head was at with Blaze Falcon (Falco Fiammata) but I think rising rebellion falcon and arc rebellion xyz dragon (like you mentioned) fulfills the roles it plays much better. the only thing i'm currently frustrated with is this deck's inability to play shifter, since 2 of my friends are currently on shifter decks and i kind of auto-lose to them whenever they draw it.

Basically while I love the pk build I think it’s much more consistent to play pure, but that’s just my thoughts
@JackOfAllGames1647 ай бұрын
I definitely agree, you're absolutely sacrificing consistency for power when you go for this build. I think if raidraptor got one more extender that didn't have a xenolock attached this build would excel- which is why i've recently been experimenting with vanishing lanius. I'm still not completely sure about it atm, but here's my reasoning: The biggest problems I had with this card previously based on my experience with phni builds were that A) a lot of our starters and extenders were *not* raidraptors and therefore targets were rare, and B) if you use your normal on it and it gets impermed you're dead in the water. For problem A, the fact that everything bar simorgh is a name just completely solves this. For problem B, bloom vulture allows us to get full use from vanishing without using our normal summon, and (take this with a grain of salt, i need further testing to confirm) a lot of players understand that the places to imperm/veiler are now raider's knight and wise strix, and probably won't try it for fear of something like bloom, strangle, or fuzzy to extend. additionally, I think fuzzy can get you out of weird situations when you get to an arsenal falcon and you've already burned a ton of extenders to get there, and you've got a dead normal summon like noir in your hand. I think fuzzy is an absolutely busted card but I think vanishing as a substitute is worth looking at for now so I'm gonna keep experimenting

Heel eagle is entirely unhelpful in my combos and even in the grind game, since the only card it can recycle is the rise-rank-up and I never expect to be making rising rebellion more than once. awesome question! two reasons: Firstly, silent boots is here because we do need that additional search for a phantom knight card in order to grab shade brigandine to finish our combo. even if you're not going for the redoer play, i've found in further testing that for some hands to make rising rebellion *and* requiem, you need that piece of extention specifically And second, we want 2 raider's wing for security purposes only; so that our combo doesn't get worse if we draw one copy of it or silent boots. if we draw our one copy, we won't be able to do the line that plays around imperm as easily, and if we draw silent boots, we won't be able to do the line that blocks imperm on raider's knight because we'd need to send the wing later off rusty bardiche's effect. the reason we're not on 3 is because regardless of all that, we actually *don't* want to draw it over any of our other starters because it only acts as an extender in very specific situations. I'd always rather draw bloom, noir, tribute, strangle, or simorgh, which is why those cards are at 3 and wing is not. hope that helps!

I just finished my raidraptor, and those are some solid combos, can you tell me if this deck goes well against meta in ysc o ots? Or jt just gonna be for locals? Would love to see some test hands, to se how we can resolve those hands in a typical game Good night

Hey, great question! so I’ve never actually been to a YCS myself as there hasn’t been one in a convenient location since I started taking the game in paper seriously, and I haven’t been to locals too frequently recently since there isn’t one near my college. However I think a skilled enough pilot could take the deck and top a YCS, and it would probably be rather easy to win at your weekly locals with enough skill and luck. We haven’t seen many YCS results for raidraptor yet, but that’s just because there haven’t been many YCSs since phantom nightmare dropped. However you do see raidraptor popping up every now and then in regional tops, and I’m willing to bet the fact that we don’t see more is because snake eye is just so dominant. What I will say is that there really isn’t any one deck that can consistently outclass either snake eye variant right now, and raidraptor is no exception. However, our biggest strength against those decks is the fact that it’s hard enough for them to get rid of one of our towers, let alone two, and almost impossible through the 3 monster negates provided by requiem. The only issue there is that it’s sometimes hard to set that up when they’re able to use every hand trap in the book against us, despite the resilience to them that the new cards and combos can provide. To summarize, you’ll get results if you’re skilled, but don’t expect to be hard countering snake eyes consistently. As for test hands, I wasn’t planning to do a video on that originally but I’ll see if I have time to do something like that next week. Is there anything in particular you’d want to see from a video like that?

@JackOfAllGames164 Literally is like Yugi says, "Gotta believe in yourself and know the hearts of the cards" jajajaja For the combos that you try the one card combo, and let's say you really got nib o ashed at an important part of the combo, something like that if you know what I mean

Ohh, and one final question, would you mind of I copy your deck? I liked it a lot and I wanna give this deck a try on my locals

@@victorprado2389 of course go right ahead, I wouldn't have made the deck profile if I didn't want people to try it out!

1 card anti nibiru = plays into nibiru

I can explain what I meant a little better - There's pretty much no way that we can make a negate or anything to completely stop nibiru before the fifth summon, but we can do something to at least decrease the impact that nibiru has on our end board. - The combo that I show off in the video aims to make Arsenal Falcon on the fifth summon, so therefore if our opponent activates nibiru at any point after that, we can just float into ultimate falcon or we already have ultimate falcon on the field (so therefore it can't be tributed by nibiru) -This isn't as strong as what some other decks can do against nibiru, but it's the best we can do in pretty much every existing variant of raidraptor. Ending on a single towers feels worse in this variant than it does in the pure variant, as their biggest points of interaction are the fact that they can make multiple towers + a board wipe, and having one towers instead of 2-3 isnt that much worse, but it's still better than nothing and certain hands have the potential to extend further beyond that (especially if we don't use our normal summon) let me know if you have any more questions!

I kinda think Kukichi's being set up as the mastermind here, because even though it was established that Rontaro was it (or whoever the first guy that died in the library was), it really seems like it's Kukichi, especially with that ending animation. Or he's just crazy or something.

Does anyone really need to help him, I mean what harm would come from just keeping him in the box for a while?
