you can also try soaking the wheels in either vinegar or sulfuric acid to sharpen and harden them...we used to do this with metal files

かえるさん、こんばんは。 すぐ使えるように15〜20個のジッポーを!? それは家での「喫煙所」が15〜20箇所あるとか??(笑) ジッポーはオイルライターの中では燃費が良くない (揮発が多い)方ですから、そりゃオイル食いますよ!! えっ? オイル値上がりですか? ずいぶん前に大缶10個 セットを買って以来しばらく買ってないので・・・ 次回もお楽しみに。いつもありがとうございます✨

@ いやいや、ジッポーは仕事行く時だけで家の玄関前でのタバコの一服にロンソン、エヴァンス、ダンヒルなんかの古いやつを、どれにしようかなぁっと選んで一服するのが楽しみなのです♪元はあなたの昔のブログのヴァラフレームオイル化を真似して使えなかったヴァラフレームの火がついた時の感動からこの趣味が始まりました♪ あとはやっぱりホイールの ういーん ができる様にならないとですね(笑)

Hi Enrique, Lucky wheel cannot be disassembled. So it is difficult to set the wheel. I will show you my method next time Lucky comes to my workshop.

Even in France this lighter is extremely rare . I ve seen thousands of Dupont for sale but this one. I don't know how you could find it but for a collector it's very valuable. Congratulations

the Tax Seal on lighters came about because the French Government owned the match industry. So to make up for lost revenue, lighters were taxed accordingly.

Most people don't realize that lighter flints are made of a very reactive alloy of iron and rare earth metals that corrode rapidly in warm moist conditions . The flint expands from the corrosion and either gets stuck or breaks the housing it sits in. Congratulations on procuring the Evans Clipper and it's restored status .

As soon as I saw the title sterling silver, I knew it was going to have distortion issues . Silver is nice for coins, but too soft to be practical for anything else requiring rigidity . Nicely done with brass insert to return to working condition . You are an able man .

As explained in the video, the manufacturer cannot do it this way even if they wanted to because would not be able to engrave the hallmark. You are right, sterling silver lighters will always face this problem. My life's work is to turn “ornaments” into “tools”. Thank you✨

I really like your channel and your videos, but would you consider putting something soft in the bottom your metal tray? Every time you drop a part or lighter case onto the tray it makes me think it’s getting scratched or dented.

こんにちは、今回も勉強させていただきました。あのハンダのつけ方は知りませんでした。 あと、パーツクリーナーを使うとき外に出て使っていましたがそうすればいいんですねぇ～ やっぱりホイールのウィ～ンは・・・ 私も40年以上バイクに乗っていてメンテナンス等も大好きな趣味です。 今は歳もとってきたので大きいのをやめて車検もないホンダのCB223Sを70年代のホンダ風にして楽しんでおります。本物の古いバイクにも興味ありますが通勤がバイクなので途中で駄々をこねられるのが怖いので我慢しております。これからも動画、楽しみにしています。

かえるさん、こんばんは!! バーナーを使うはんだ付けはこういうボディだからこそ できるので、あまり汎用性は無いんですけどね・・・ ボクもこのGT750の他にエストレヤ(キャブ車)があり、 現在レストア中です。やることが多くてなかなか作業が 進んでませんけど(笑) ありがとうございます。引き続きよろしくお付き合い下さい。
