Are sorcs that grief like you said? I mean in the past it was true because flat mpen was applied first before % pen but I think since they changed it so that % pen applies first and flat afterwards that Sorcs are fine even later into the game vs targets that have an mr item.

Hey Shok, whats your opinion on symbiotic boots on mages? Ive been trying it in games where im not solo ap, and other boot options dont look amazing. I find the empowered recall helps you take more cheater-esque recalls (especially on fast champs like taliyah), and once they upgrade you can easily rotate to fights fast with the mobi's effect.

Caps wasn't necessarily playing to go DeathCap first item. The goal is to go Storm but if you manage to reset on 1250 he gets a rod. One of the games he bought a tome first then bought rods into deathcap.

I really like summon aery in this matchup with sudden impact secondary. If i fail to smash before first base i feel like its hard to win trades with w, instead I just out range poke with q aery then get liss into lethal, might be a skill issue idk

Stormsurge is a total fraud item. I've been consistently experimenting with it since the buff and it ALWAYS deals less damage than any other option. Even Luden's outperform's it every time by A LOT. Syndra uses AH much better than the flat pen, so it's another good point for Luden's buy. If a mana item is not required/desired, Cosmic Drive feels very smooth when playing and also outdps Stormsurge because of the AH.

stormsurge is not about dps, you build flat pen when you want to burst someone without the need to wait for your next skill rotation

@@guinho0_o0o I do know that and still doesn't matter for Syndra specially. Syndra scales very well with raw AP. The mini-Rabadon's on passive and the upgraded W passive makes every last drop of AP more valuable than any other stat. That's precisely why people started to build Rabadon's first on Syndra. The item alone + passive literally gives Syndra 4% extra true damage on W. Why do you need flat pen when you can just ignore every single resistance they have? Beyond that, Syndras generally play with extra balls to combo: more balls mean a more guaranteed E into a guaranteed combo. And normally you just hit 2 balls before comboing anyway. That's how the champ is played. So the flat pen doesn't matter a lot anyways. You'll have people on lethal easily (specially once you have execute passive on R) and you hit extra balls most of the time, so AH >>> Flat Pen. If you're not sold out on that, okay, you'll keep building flat pen itens which are not that better on Syndra anyways. In that case, you go Shadowflame. Same flat pen, but way more AP, which Syndra loves. And you still deal more burst damage than you would with Stormsurge. A little less than 100 extra damage, I'd say. Just open the training range and test it. Stormsurge is shit on Syndra.

Tbh not really, you can skip ROA on Ryze and play something like Seraphs Stormsurge but I think ROA is just too important for him
