I see that the torque for the head bolts is 26ft lbs and then additional 180 degrees, can anyone confirm? and do you do the 180 degrees all in one turn or in multiple stages? any help is appreciated

This is what I copied from the service Manuel INSTALL HEAD SUB-ASSY, CYLINDER (a) Place the cylinder head on the cylinder block. HINT: The cylinder head bolts are tightened in 2 progressive steps (b) Apply a light coat of engine oil to the threads and under the heads of the cylinder head bolts. (c) Using a 10 mm bi-hexagon wrench, install and uniformly tighten the 10 cylinder head bolts with the plate washers, in several passes in the sequence shown. Torque: 35 N•m (357 kgf-cm, 26 ft Ibf) (d) Mark the front of each cylinder head bolt with paint. (e) Retighten the cylinder head bolts by 180° in the sequence order shown. (f) Check that the paint mark on each bolt is at a 180° angle to the original position.

What's the draw to this style of center console? Is it just lighter weight? If you do end up repainting it, you could paint it silver to match the outside of the car to bring a little color inside. Love the MR2!

I'm not trying to be a troll or anything, but there are two things I didn't like about this video. There seems to be an epidemic of youtubers talking at a volume of 1 and turning the music up to an 11. This makes it very difficult to watch. The other thing is, you drilled through metal on your car and it didn't look like you put any paint on the raw metal created by the holes. This is a recipe for rust, especially in Wisconsin where they throw a lot of salt on the roads. Just my $0.02.

@Built By Jack That's good. I'd like to recommend editing the video maybe. I did stop watching pretty early due to that. It's good that you learn from your mistakes, and accepting correction is a mark of competence and maturity. It maybe better to address it where it occurs so rookies don't get the wrong idea and new viewers don't get put off. I will go back and watch the rest.
