We’ve seen people use rice paper before to make egg rolls. We haven’t tried it yet for this recipe but you can try it first and maybe let us know! 🙌

Hello! Tomato sauce is a common ingredient in many curry recipes, as it helps to add depth of flavor and sometimes it can even be used as a thickening agent to thicken the curry sauce when cooked properly. You are absolutely correct. It is our personal preference/recipe. Every cook or chef will have his or her own method and ingredients for cooking up dishes. At the end of the day, the beauty to cooking is that you can add or take away any ingredients that may or may not satisfy your taste buds and call it your own recipe AND as long as you are having fun doing so and the food tastes great then that is what matters most. ☺️

Thanks for the video. I have a question: after boiling the wontons in the soup, do you use the same soup for eating? Doesn’t the soup have too much flour from the wonton skins?

Feel free to boil the wontons in a separate pot if you prefer. In this video, we boiled just 8 wontons directly in the soup, which enhanced the flavor thanks to the delicious ingredients inside. Yes, we do use the same soup for serving that we boiled the wontons in, and it did not affect the taste at all. However, if you're preparing a large batch for a party where everyone will be serving their own bowls of soup, boiling the wontons on the side is definitely a great option. Since we were making a smaller portion in this video, we aimed to simplify the process. I hope this answers your question, and we truly hope you enjoy our recipe! Thank you so much for watching!

Man, ima try to make this to see if I should make it for the family Christmas get together, when I was like 11, I went on a family trip driving from texas to California on Christmas eve, and we stopped at a small restaurant and I tried egg drop soup for the first time, It was soo cold outside with freshly fallen snow and I remember the moment I tried it, It was like if I was drinking liquid gold, I never knew the name till now at 25, thanks for the recipe.

I don’t currently have a sweet Rangoon recipe that leans more towards the dessert side, but if you're interested in making it sweeter, you can easily adjust the ingredients by adding more sugar to taste. For frying, feel free to use any oil of your choice. In the video, I used a local chili oil, but it doesn’t have to be a specific brand-just find one that you like! Thank you for watching!
