I just bought this Minister D and luckily I have a newer version. Different front of the lens. More graceful and two-tone. More subtle company engraving on the top plate and most importantly. Light meter switch. In the newer version, it is turned from off to on and vice versa. in the older model there is a button with a red dot that must be pressed all the time for the meter to measure the light and you already know that it is not convenient. So I either have it turned on or not. And the last difference. Rangefinder adjustment cap. The older version has a rubber cap. Newer metal screw.

Why is the distance always 15 feet and with an open aperture the models are in sharply imaged space? this is clearly fake
@SchroderPhotographyАй бұрын
What are you talking about fake? Lol. What is fake??? Maybe because Im a professional photographer for 30 years and I know what Im doing? PS: And where do you see it say its open aperature in every shot? You are making things up. Most of the shots are f8. Oh and the ones you see at f4 and 15 ft away are with a wide angle lens which if you knew anything about photography you would know gives you a decent amount of depth of field. There is also something called Zone Focusing. Start reading you got lots to learn. Next time ask instead of making silly accusations.
@ditto1958Ай бұрын
I owned both of these, but didn’t keep either one for long. The Yashica has a very sharp lens, but the camera is too big, heavy and clunky for my taste. The Canon’s lens was not as sharp. The body size and shape were fine. But I like Olympus better, and I like the Olympus 35RC and 35SP better.

I am going to use a Hasselblad camera of the same model as yours to photograph the wedding of my relatives. Could you please tell me what method you use to focus quickly and accurately?😢
@SchroderPhotography2 ай бұрын
Depends on situation. Thru the viewfinder focus usually, its a slower process, you arent banging away dozens of shots a minute. For action shots where you arent directing people look into Zone Focusing which I love. Set at say f8 and everything from say 7feet to 30 feet will be in focus ...set the focus at 15 feet and you wont have to worry about it as long as the subject falls with that parameter.

Cool video! What film stock are you shooting with? Also, since you do a lot of street with the hassy, what is the slowest handheld shutter speed you can go without getting blur? 1/30? With my Rollei TLR I can hit 1/30 but I'm not sure about the hassy cause of the mirror slap.

Kodak Portra 400 usually. I dont tend to shoot slower that 1/60th, haven't found the need to. But Im usually faster than that 125 or so. Some of the shots you can see my settings on screen.

UPDATE: Someone pointed out the following: "The power tower is in the same place that it was. It was replaced with a thinner tower not long ago. That's not Huron but Rockaway Blvd. There was at least one house where the park is today." So indeed that seems to be right and solves the doubt i had that wasnt adding up. That means that indeed the photos were taken from atop the beach structure. So what we are looking at is essentially the current pool parking lot, and a house that was on what is now LH park. Thanks for the info.

@thebitterfig99033 ай бұрын
Seems sweet... but you already have to own the Hasselblad. I keep wishing Fuji would do an ultrawide Instax Square, something like a 45mm lens on Instax would be equivalent to the 38mm of the Hasselblad SWC. Sure, plastic lens and body isn't going to be as nice, but if it cost about the same as a regular Instax Square camera, I'd order one without hesitation.

I'm looking forward to getting one of these for my Pacemaker 45 Speed. So is this how it is then? Can I compensate rangefinder? Will back glass focusing be off as well then?
@SchroderPhotography4 ай бұрын
I kinda figured out a way to focus without ground glass. I setup one day a shot to measure the focus using this back without the ground glass so i could focus manually and I marked the rail with a marker for the correct distances when the Instax is on it. You can see in the wedding photo I just measure the distance and then set it to may marks on the rail.
