I fly on airplanes. I just happen to have these 21700 packs. And in 2025, what quad would you recommend buying for a 20-minute cruise flight with this 21700?

@unixoid33 I have videos of my 10" iflight Nazgul that got areound 20 minutes cruzing up and down the mountian I used to fly. I ran 2 4200mah molicel packs in parallel. So a largeer quad running the packs in parallel will double your Mahs and double your amps for more power

On the video where you switched this from analog to 03 I’m trying to do the same thing I have everything all the parts everything my question was you talked about switching pins to get the OSD ? How did you switch pins? Are we talking about the wire harness clips? I wasn’t sure what you were talking about. There’s a couple questions I had because on your video. It’s like nothing was hooked up and then edit. Everything was hooked up. there was like no in between.

Dumb question, but what do you mean by switching pins? And I wish you really would’ve showed a close-up of which wire it goes where because all of a sudden nothing is connected and then edit air unit is all connected

@@maddercat the esc is dead, trashed, and I replaced it with $50 HakRC esc. That’s been holding up like a champ ever since

Things where I live has changed a lot and the main place I have flown for a decade has been torn down and they are building a new subdivision. Almost everywhere I fly locally is being either replaced or a restricted fly area. I’m trying to sort things out for the 2025. I have some fixed Wings 🪽 that I want to give a try and another 8” on 8s. I just need the time to build them and the places to fly! Lol.. 😂 Thank you for checking up on my situation. I've these props with similar motors. They are no spacers in the package but they fit really tight. I wonder if I should put the metal spacer on top as you did in the video?

What did you have to do to make the 03 Camera fit? Figure I'll just design a new mount and print it but sure do hate to loose those aluminum plates..

@@kevinknight9994 the camera fit fine without alterations. The mount was already TPU. You just need to get the longer 03 air unit cable described in the video

Hello, I have a question. I'm a total nube. I bought a racing frame. Then I bought a stack. I didn't realize it is a mini stack. 20x20. My frame doesn't have 20x20 holes in it. Is there an adapter, or should I get another frame?

I got mine about when this video came out 😉 still working great. On my 7". I have a m10 gps which picks up satellites very quickly but thinking about re-flashing with magnetos enabled. Idk it works fine. I should just leave it 🤣 how is yours holding up? I don't really fly that 1 very much. I have been playing with my speedybee35. Axis flying argus f7 aio in that 1. Just smaller with cool lights. Was thinking about covering the 7" with lights. This has all kinds of outputs for them 😉 i think that 7" is lighter than my 5" speedybee master 5 v2 🤯 feels like it. Same size motors and video system. Great video man. Have a nice night 😁 i should buy another if my coupon is still good 😉 gotta find it 🤣

Hey man, I want to build the same quad but I don't know what size is the top plate and what is the maximum battery length I can buy. I don't want to use gopro only the O3. Can you measure it quickly for me? What size of battery starps do you use for parallel lipos?

For 10V you need to find USER1 in modes tab and enable it, give it a full range.. I just found on google. Strange why is it off by default.

Thanks for this tutorial, im trying to pid tune my 10” following your guide but you dont mention the filter settings that you are using, are you using default betaflight filter settings?

Please help me: I have destroyed two FC of this during the first takeoff. What I did: I'm using the GepRC 3214 motors and soldered them to the 100A Cement Ultra. After that I made all the betaflight configuration, spin the motors etc...I have not flashed any BLHeli32 Software as the website is turned down. During the first takeoff, the FC died and could not get to live anymore. No soldering issues, everything double checked. Please help I'm lost why the FC dies during first takeoff with 10A..All the testing with 3A was not an issue on the table.

Hi Scott, I'm at the D_term filter tuning, using my own filter setting and Default Filter settings... both yielded very wavy line in the Step Response PID tool box. That means my build is noisy. I tried the "4.5 filter for noisybuild with RPM filtering" preset, the step response line in pid tool box looks less wavy but my motors when land in my backyard is still hot to the touch. The current temp is 94 outside. Do you think that has something to do with hot motors?

I would need to see photos of your Toolbox. were you able to turn down your PWM frequencies to 20 or 16? Even if the temps in over 100, my motors are not that hot to the touch. They are warm, but not scorching, especially while in flight. If you are too zoomed in, you will have wavy lines regardless, but upload an unlisted video, or send me photos to my gmail using my same name here. I'll try to get back to you in a timely manner, but I am working tomorrow...so. Lol. Also when you send me photos, tell me which one you chose so I can see why you are having hot motors. Thanks

@@scottgivens27 I was able to set my pwm low & high both the 20khz per your video. Did your motors get hot when you were finding the D_Gains value? My motors were kind of warm just 15 - 20 seconds of hovering to find D-Gains. Also are you on FB or IG. Can I send you pictures of my PID tune and PID TOOL BOX. Thank You Scott.

Hi Scott, Do you change the filter setting or do you use default Betaflight 4.5 filter settings??

@@Wontonsoupz I used and have been using the default filter settings from 4.3 to 4.5. Most of the issues I’ve had were PID tuning alone. I recently changed arms on a 4” quad from deadcat arms to true X and only tuned for deadcat configuration. The motors were hot to the touch when I switched to tried and it was twitching like crazy to a point I thought something got grounded, or my esc was bad. I didn’t find anything wrong, so I redid my basement PID tune for the new configuration and it flys super smooth cool motors. Long story short, whenever you reconfigure your quad and it’s not flying as it was during a previous tune. You MUST retune your quad for the new configuration
