Where in LAX is this? Didn’t know it was still around, I’ve also been looking for a long time. My mom still works at LAX but when I was a little kid I think I remember it near the stairs at Tom Bradley and I would love watching it. Thank you!

How come u were flying over private property? U need permission for that. Don’t bother lying that u did I live there. Please don’t do it again. Also some people shoot at or disable drones. And I have the equipment to. Just a word of warning, don’t do it again. +don’t go within 50ft of the railway as that is another legality problem

Perhaps putting it in S Mode in order to disable the sensors may alleviate that problem while descending

I had a similar experience. I assume the downward sensors confused the fog as the ground and would not let me decrease altitude. Eventually got it down by holding down the left stick to force it into landing mode. It made a very hard landing and it was completely soaked, but did not sustain any damage. Glad I got some cool footage, because I'll never do that again.

Sounds like it's identical. I managed to avoid the hard landing by about an inch lol. And same as you, first and last time.

I tried this once with my mp2 - it went nuts and I just managed to get it back - from memory I chucked it into sports mode to disable sensors - it was wetter than an otters pocket when I got it back - pleased you got it back safely - evidently the knack is to fly at an angle downwards when descending - I haven’t got the nerve to do it though 😆

correct me if im wrong but i’m not sure that sport mode actually disables the bottom 2 sensors, as it still detects and avoids ground/objects when hovering

Sensors are enabled regardless of what mode you are in. You got lucky that's all.

Interesting footage. I reckon you would have to scout the area in the daylight for overhead electric cables, etc, as they are going to be very difficult to spot in this level of light.

No problem with cables. But a zip wire from the top to the bottom would be an awesome idea. I was about 5m above the top of the bank at the same level as I started above the cars at the beginning of the video. It's a 1 in 3 bank so the cars were descending away from me down to Rosedale abbey and then out of the village.
