You must have to do it within a certain time limit. Every time I do it I get to 7/10 and the numbers go away and it stops counting them.

Tip: go to the police station and switch to the police car and then switch back to the money man and try to disable the bad guys car or just follow after him. If you follow him take your time to collect the money, he will wait for you. Stangley today i did this and after a while when i was collecting 1$ bills it was giving me 4$ bills.

When I wanna get a good score I use a crappy durability car, wait till low health, get a close call and get +500 score, I'm using it now to complete main/side missions
