Right from the start the myth of "superior german engineering". Cylinders going oval, bores getting scarred, IMS blowing up. For 10 long years. And these people make the Marketing of porsche their whole identity.

Thanks for the PreKom recommendation. They were great quality and easy to replace if you use the sockets and press out the old grommets and press in the new with the vise.

Absolutely spectacular, but a shame that it was only uploaded in 720p.

Hi, I have watched 80+ of your videos. You make so many beautiful and informative video content about Porsches. All your video quality is good. But I noticed, the video views of other channels of the same keyword are very high compared to your video's views are very low. And I analyzed the reason. They have implemented SEO in their content which you haven't. And therefore your targeted visitors are not finding your content. Do you want to stay ahead of your competitors?
I was there that night, a great evening in which I learned a heap. Must have, onto 996 no 4 😊

Well explained, why? Because it was a toss-up, "replace the centre bearing or the whole shaft" After watching your presentation, it is obvious to me that I should and will replace the whole shaft.... Well explained, thank you.

Some suppliers here in the US do stock Aluminium for export to Commonwealth countries. It is my understanding that many Commonwealth countries impose a tariff on Aluminum imports unless the material is modified with the addition of an "i". There are customs brokers that can do this modification at the port of entry in a free trade zone.

I just got some forged magnesium wheels to replace the OEM forged aluminum wheels on my Nissan 370Z and can't wait to get them mounted and to them compare how the suspension reacts.

I've a 1996 993 C2 iris blue metallic, 66,000 miles, 6-speed manny tranny, varioram, LSD. No CEL, no oil leaks. Multi-show full-concours winner. I do my own maintenance. I'm never selling it.

Hi there. Yup, i replaced mine at 63,000 miles. The plastic of the wheel itself broke forcing me to use a ziptie to hold it back until I could replace it. I had the alternator belt go so I replaced all three. Yes, I limped home on battery alone (27 miles, traffic, strong battery!)

You should’ve explained more about how the heat exchanger is hooked up with the pipe openings on the exchanger were and how they’re hooked up in a little bit more about why the oil lines are going to need to be changed and held the SSI Effects a change. Thank you

Very cool. The story does invoke some emotions for me as the custodian of a lovely little car for over 35 years cared for largely by your firm over the years and more recently for a little freshen up. The passion does not fade with time....

As a 911 owner, which took me a while to find just the right one, I love this. Every owner I’ve met is indeed an enthusiast. Such a strong brand loyalty; I’ve never met a driver who didn’t love their car or know all the intricacies of it. Hard to meet someone who just had money to blow and doesn’t understand their car. Thank God. Those people can find another brand 😅

The last IMS bearing in the M97 engines is the large single row bearing replacing the small single row predecessor. 2005/6 M97 engines have either or bearing. The final iteration larger bearing is for sure in engine block serial numbers M97/21 67704617 and newer with a failure rate of less than 2% for 987 Boxter/Caymans.

The 911 is the poor man's 928. Sorry - I gotta call balls and strikes. the 928 was European "Car" of the Year 1979. No other sports car including the 911 has ever won "Car" of the year. The 928 has won 2 production car land speed record at Bonneville (1986 and 2020) - the 911 has exactly won none. Even 911 enthusiast Magnus Walker has started his 928 collection - its Now or Never for the 928 still the biggest bang for the buck in Porsche's line up. Singer/RWB/RUF could easily reimagine 928s - its just a matter of time before someone specializes in customizing and outlawing 928s - There is no substitute.
