fun fact if that was stinger then it actually needs to touch target for fuze to work, stinger does not have proximity fuze

hey man ive been planning on getting into DCS but dont know what HOTAS to get. Any suggestions ?
@flyingwithfrancis1104 Жыл бұрын
My go to recommendation is usually the Thrustmaster T16000M if you're able. Great bang for your buck, the same sensors as the Warthog HOTAS, plenty of switches and buttons (Even for the A10C if you get a little creative) and a better slew sensor on the throttle than the warthog. VKB has some fantastic budget stick options too if you don't need a bunch of 4 and 5 way switches atm

Depends on what you want to fly also. I bought the thrustmaster without realizing that it doesn’t have a split throttle for two engines.

@@adamsmith5151 lets be fr for a sec, how often do you split throttles?
@mattthacker91206 ай бұрын
@@JohnDoe-gn3rgEverytime I start and shutdown the F-14. I use the split throttles in the P-47 and P-51 as well, one for RPM, one for throttle.

Hi Francis. My name is Dave and I'm your latest sub 🎉🥳😀👋 Great video. Loved the content, loved the story and loved the humour. I'm new to the Hind so I love watching ppl such as yourself that can really fit it. I wonder, would it be possible to allow your subtitles to run for just a bit longer, please? Oldies like me are not as speedy as you young whipper snappers 😊 Seriously Great stuff. Thank you. I look forward to watching your back catalogue and all your future content. Cheers. Dave

Hey Francis, I´m just starting to learn the F14 with the Liberation campaign. Until now I was alnost exclusively an F18 driver. I´m just curious to know how can I stick to the flight plan and flight path (6:48 in your video) with plenty steer points in the DCS Liberation campaign, if the F14 can store only 3 steer points, IP, ST, FP and HB. In your video you used only steer points 1 - 3 and then home base. How can you tell which steer points in the F 14 correspond to steer points in your flightplan? Numbers don´t match, as steer points 1 - 3 are "hold, join and ingress", but you navigated to "st 3" as if ot reffers to your target (but that should be the Surface Target steer point in the F14?). So how is it with the navigation in the F14 fliying missions in the Liberation Campaign? In the F 18 all the steer points match the flightplan on my kneeboard, but I´m not sure how is it with the F 14... Thx.

You got right up to it twice and managed to dodge its launches. SAMs have a minimum range and altitude and once you get inside that they cant fire. even if they do, you can change your angle by so much that they have a harder time hitting you. by breaking off and flying directly away youre giving it a much easier time hitting you, thats why it fires again at 08:21. it was open for a rocket run as you were breaking off.

That is the RWR, very annoying in congested EM environments but useful to build a l i t t l e bit more SA. Usually I'll turn it on in a hot zone just to keep track of whether I'm hard locked or not, unless it's so dense there's already no pause in the tone.

Sure! By memory so a little fallable... 2070 Super, 32 GB RAM, AMD 7800x (I think...) motherboard was the cheapest one I could find, nothing special for any other components. DCS installed on a 500GB SSD, OS on HDD. Settings are all low except textures high on 2D, medium in VR, water medium, anisotropic filtering 8x. Everything else is generally left at low.
