Miles was a legend. I always knew who he was but never rely listened to his music until more recently. Don't mean to be disrespectful but why did he talk like he had laryngitis all the time? Was this a medical condition he had or a side effect of playing trumpet? Also, did Miles ever play much whiteout a mute?

Still the best of ... name them all! in 2024, they still rock together like never before. Never got old. More than 20 years ago - just incredible amazing. We just hear Miles on the background... Roy Hargrove is the best. This is just the best take of this tune ever. Love Teri! Not te mention the great Lionel, Munyungo, Wah Wah, Marcus and Herbie.

Miles had sickle cell anemia. This disease is debilitating and many don’t live past 40. This man is the epitome of a super hero. He loved his life doing what he loved. He makes me realize I can do anything with this disease as a catalyst not a blockage❤

The stuff miles Davis is talking about sampling the sounds of bracket all and making music from it is similar to what the great Hermeto Pasqual did with football fans cheering a goal. Great minds think alike.

Miles also mentioned Earth, Wind, and Fire as his favorite group as it is mine.I have many albums of Miles as well as those who worked with him. Just think, out of the Bitches Brew album, jazz super groups Weather Report, The Mahavishnu Orchestra, Shakti, and Return To Forever, were spawned, as well as the solo careers and influences on others. Simply incredible!

I was at this concert . It was at the Fillmore East after it closed and the other band on the bill was also tremendous. Paul Winter consort who were fantastic in their own right. believe bit was called The NFE- New Fillmore East. Too bad about the quality but that this even exist AT ALL is a miracle. Funny note ,as usual Miles came on first even though he was the headliner, which he ALWAYS did ,so when Winter came on half the house left after Miles. finished. We usually left also but stay and was glad we did..Winter and his guys were great in their own right but there was nobody there!!!!!

Too bad he didn’t use that talent with Miles. Terrible interview, not one question of substance. Go check out the Dick Cavett interview with Miles, THAT’S a real interview with a jazz legend.

This was during the final couple years of Miles’s life and his health and energy were up and down. That was the most you were gonna get out of him in 1989. Look at any other footage of him around that time and it’s all the same.
