The guitarist from Intervals was a favourite of JAN Van Halen ? ....But Jan passed away in December 1986...You must mean ED himself liked Aaron Marshall. Yes, Jan did influence Ed & Alex. With a wide range of things but with the SWING in his jazz playing. A lot of Alex's swing in his drumming came from his Dad , not just Ginger Baker. (Paul)

Van Halen, the band, died October 6, 2020. Edward was the band. The unique sound will never be duplicated. Actually, there was one guitar player who sounded very similar to EVH back in 1987, 1988, Vito Bratta (White Lion).

Van Halen is gone without Edward . All the songs came from him . As for more successful years with Hagar is 🐂💩 . None of the Van Hagar albums outsild Van Halen albums .
