Tell ya one thing, if you are looking to hot 🔥 tent I'd recommend the Eddie Bauer down boundary pass parka though, I've been using this parka for 3 weeks now hot 🔥 tenting and it's like wearing a military cold weather sleeping bag, I've been practically living in this jacket

Thanks for the Suggestions but this thing caught on fire 🔥 shortly after I tried that . 😅 Luckily Tractor supply let me return it after I called them, apparently I wasn't the only Christmas eve shopper that brought it back today as there was about 8 of them sitting next to the registers that looked like they had a similar fate .

How did it work out? I've got my doubts on heating my Kodiak, but hopes it's just warm enough to keep the tent from freezing over.

Surprisingly it actually heated the Aries Geodesic dome hot tent pretty well ,after I let the nomad burn out , kept the Aries to 70° degrees,I was quite shocked that the stories & reviews were actually accurate on Amazon to be honest 😂😂lol . I used it in my 10x12 wall hot 🔥 tent too kept the temperature around 60° after the camp chef Alpine stove went out too and now I'm pretty sold on the BTU output for such a tiny little thing. Outside Temperature when we used the Aries was 12° and the temperature outside the 10x12 was 4° last week. Thinking about it now I guess the steep price isn't really that bad .

It does burn though for exactly 7 1/2 hours on the 1/4 ounces of paraffin lamp oil before it goes out with a puff of black sooty smoke lol. I do recommend buying the little canvas storage bag for it though and 2 clear old school condiment bottles like they used to use for ketchup and mustard. I just pre measured lamp oil and poured it into the bottles it's a lot easier to refill the stove than

I have the same smoker bought in 2018 75$ clearance at Walmart, you press set to initiate set up so you can set a temp and time, do not hit set once you have selected the correct time hit time button once more and all is good, if you hit set again after selecting temp and time this will cause it to go back to set mode, I hope this helped so you can have your Christmas dinner, but I would take it back solely on the price point. Happy holidays

Cool, I just saw these looking for a little heater on the workbench I just built in my cargo trailer, do you think you could remove one of those front pieces of glass for a little more heat?
@WeShootBack1776
@WeShootBack1776 4 күн бұрын
You probably could remove the Glass,you can actually remove the entire top and the glass from both sides by pressing on the tiny handle on the back side and leaning it forward, the whole surround comes off completely or you can just leave one side open without removing the glass too . The glass is there more for those people who they write them ⚠️ warnings ⚠️ for lol

Is it easy to set up by 1 person?
@WeShootBack1776
@WeShootBack1776 26 күн бұрын
If you mean the tent ,Yes, it was pretty easy the first time I set it up in the back yard and not in high winds at night like I was forced to do this night ..lol , but yeah the tent is amazing in the wind after it's up & staked down. We were at the top of a mountain away from trees cause the view was amazing minus the wind, but it wasn't the easiest to do at night with high winds but it was still doable. What I did was push one stake into the rocks on the opposite side and then push the 3 poles into the metal hub on the opposite side than scramble around and put in more stakes and push in the poles . There's 5 poles in total and 6 guy line ropes . Definitely a neat little tent and well worth the price. I used it a few times all about a week long now so far, it doesn't leak at all like that naturehike Massif tent I had before this one . I'm actually in this one currently right now, and it's been snowing here all night long. Snow ❄️ don't even really lay on this tent very long until it slides down around the sides .
@WeShootBack1776
@WeShootBack1776 26 күн бұрын
Currently there's about 3 feet of snow ❄️ that has slid down around the tent to which has been insulating the sides pretty nice and the internal snow skirts are a lot better than the standard snow skirts that lay around the outside diameter of regular hot tents ,never seen anything designed like this but it seems to do a pretty decent job at keeping the air from inside the hot tent floor .

Since I purchased this tent and the Winnerwell nomad size medium I bought the Winnerwell triple wall pipe which seals the gap on the stove jack and the Winnerwell pipe oven medium and with this combination of stove gear I've also noticed that a chunk of log 🪵 about 5 inches thick heats up the tent for about 4 hours. Having the extra metal from the pipe oven really aides to heating up the Aries with such large set of air vents at its peak . I have my little stove fan sitting directly on the pipe oven and then it circulates the warm air down to our cots .

The one I use it in mostly is the S'mores Fronti Canvas Hot tent , it's 8x9 and heats it up for 8 hours to around 60° . I usually light it up while I'm working on prepping wood for the Winnerwell nomad to cut down the cold ,than leave it burning all night long in case I fall asleep and forget to put more wood in the wood stove lol

Nice video! I hv one of it but haven’t used yet. Does the opening on the top make the tent cold? Cuz it cannot be closed.
@WeShootBack1776
@WeShootBack1776 Ай бұрын
Nope the screens on the top under the rain cap only allow fresh air to circulate and vent out smoke when you open up your wood stove I do close the 4 vents though along the sides when it's windy though cause it was blowing directly onto my cot . Since I posted this one , I've bought the Winnerwell triple wall pipe too for use with this one and the Winnerwell pipe oven for the nomad lol. Brownies and cookies in the tent is amazing

More calories = more energy/fuel. Plus they dried out in the oven while you burned them. Thats how you make charcoal btw, you burn some wood. :)

@WeShootBack1776 oh no I just got mine. Massif 4 person tent. Haven't tried it in the rain yet....do you have any suggestions regarding its stove jack how can I improve it. It's like a cheap cloth I'm worried it'll get burned.
@WeShootBack1776

@@azielle7991 What I did was buy one of those Silicone stove jack flashing ones with the stainless steel plate around the bottom of it from Amazon, was like 30.00 dollars and attach it to the jack itself ,seems they use the same cheap cloth jack on all there tent's,than I bought 2 spray cans of silicone tent waterproofing ,got a 2 pack on Amazon as well for 16 bux scotchgard brand and sprayed it on every seam on both the outside of the tent and inside of the tent, and it was good to go after that . Seemed to leak at the vent and just above the flap that covers the stove jack the most so I basically covered the entire area around those parts . Depending on the hot tent wood stove you can get a triple or double walled pipe section too that creates a heat shield around the jacks , like I've got a winnerwell nomad medium and I bought the triple wall pipe and it keeps the temp considerably less than just using the stainless steel section that came with.

@@azielle7991 ohh yeah and before I forget to mention it, when you spray the inside with the silicone tent waterproofing make sure before you do to wear a paint mask like they sell at Walmart and safety glasses cause when I did it,the silicone sealant basically bounced back a few times and I got it all over my face and glasses 🕶️ sucked pretty bad lol, but ya know I just kinda did it without thinking lol 🤣 number one thing not to do while hot 🔥 tenting
