@user-mm9hv2oj8d

It is aluminum. It is not rust, it is corrosion. If you live where they salt every rack will look like that. The locks are steel cables that are encased. So they will not dry out and will rust
@AndreLaurentMTB
@AndreLaurentMTB 17 күн бұрын
@@user-mm9hv2oj8d parts of the rack are aluminum while other parts are steel. So there will be respective corrosion on any iron based part that will show as red/brown rust. The aluminum corrosion is a white flaking and dust. The cables and locks also corrode. I have used a special Krown rust spray that's supposed to inhibit rust in the Canadian environment. However, it makes the system oily and that picks up dirt making it messy to handle.

I have the same problem with my set, after 12 months and 3 weeks. I guess I now have a $350 paperweight because the receiver won't charge at all, and the transmitters batteries are all over the place. Honestly it was unreliable from day 1. Like you say, they don't make a good connection with the charging pins, so sometimes they don't charge, or they randomly discharge inside the case. And then i've also had issues where the transmitters can't be formatted, so I have to do complex cloning of a working transmitter, using the dd command under a linux system. I'm pretty disappointed.

The Don is the wild West of trail systems. There's sporadic maintenance of trails by the dedicated few with the city doing stuff around the Crothers Woods & Loblaws area. The trails are destroyed more by weather events than any amount of users, MTB, running, hiking, dog walking etc... Don't Mess With The Don is the only public organization that actively does a great job of cleaning up and trail maintainence. TRCA likes to remove trails from trailforks but forgets alot Strava or any of the other MTB apps but I've never seen them build or promote trail activity.
