One of my earliest memories is of Horsham Urban District Council (as it then was) using a green (I think) steamroller to roll the tarmac in Depôt Road, after repairing some pot-holes around where Corunna Drive is now. This must have been mid-1960s, because I think the machine had been pensioned off by 1970 at the latest.
