If you believe you must be baptized to be saved, you don’t believe Jesus is powerful enough to save. If you don’t believe Jesus is powerful enough to save, you are a cult. Please stay far away from the Church of Christ. They hurt families. Find a Southern Baptist Church.

The Church of Christ is a cult that ignores Scripture, twists Scripture, and doesn’t believe Jesus is enough to save. They also hurt families. Please find a Southern Baptist Church.

to supplant Jacob name meaning and originFrom the Hebrew Ya'aqov, Jacob can mean "to follow, be behind," but it can also mean "to supplant, overreach" or come from the Hebrew word for "heel." It can also mean "may God protect." All are based on the biblical story of Jacob.

How was the thief on the cross saved since he was not water baptized?
@CentralChurchofChristJC2 жыл бұрын
Great question! It really boils down to which dispensation we are talking about. Since this happened before Christ's death, as Christ promised the thief before He died, this was still under the Mosaic Law (the Old Covenant). But when Christ died, a new Law was put into place, which requires baptism (full immersion) into water for the remission of sins. Hope that helps! - Greg
@christrescuedme21822 жыл бұрын
@@CentralChurchofChristJC But God’s Word reveals the exact opposite of what you've said, for the thief died AFTER Jesus. The two thieves had their legs broken in order to speed up death, but not Jesus, for He had already died (Jn. 19:31-33)! So the thief on the cross was NOT still under the Mosaic dispensation right before he died. Jesus died BEFORE the thief, so the New Covenant was immediately in force upon the thief BEFORE he died! “For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead; otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth” (Mt. 26:28, Heb. 9:16-17). What was this "new law" that you claim was "put into place," and exactly when was it put into place?
@CentralChurchofChristJC2 жыл бұрын
@@christrescuedme2182 Those are good thoughts. The problem is that the thief's confession came prior to Jesus's death. - Greg
@christrescuedme21822 жыл бұрын
@@CentralChurchofChristJC They are not just thoughts, they are God's Word, which has established the fact that the CoC's Mosaic Dispensation theory is completely false and unbiblical. Obviously, you realize this, for you've now attempted another explanation that still does not hold water. So again, I ask, "How was the thief on the cross saved, since he was not water baptized?" And again, what was this "new law" that you claim was "put into place," and exactly when was it put into place?
@matthiasfan2 жыл бұрын
@@christrescuedme2182 My comment on “good thoughts” was an attempt to keep it cordial. I will comment and then be done. Ephesians 2:14-16 says that there is a new Law with an old one being done away with. Hebrews 8 is very clear about a new covenant. Acts 2:38 is clear that water baptism is required for remission of sins and in order to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. If we ignore these Scriptures, we are not in obedience to God. I hope you have a good rest of the day and I hope you consider my previous response about the timing. But I am not going to continue engaging in a discussion if we can’t find common ground. Again, have a good day. :) -Greg

Shirley, an account that comes to mind is from 2 Chronicles 33. There, we see that Manasseh did what was evil in the sight of the LORD, even going so far as to kill his own children. But as we keep reading, in verses 10 and following, we see that Manasseh sought the LORD and that the LORD was moved by his plea. If you seek the LORD, He will hear you. If you have not been baptized for the remission of sin, then I encourage you to do so in order to call upon the name of the LORD (Acts 22:16) and He will forgive you (Acts 2:38). In baptism, you will receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38). We can have assurance that we are saved if we follow what God says. Let us know if we can help you in any way. - Greg

Trinity solution: 2D Trinity: triangle 3D Trinity: quadrangle 4D Trinity: pentachoron "4 beings hidden in ONE God." Pentachoron seems like it's 5 sided (penta) but God Most High (top of Pyramid) is everything and infinite and Light so he had to back off to allow emptiness (space/Darkness) so he technically doesn't count. Only an "illusion". The 4th being is "hidden" inside the 4D pentachoron. My guess is the 4th being is Yaldabaoth/Devil/Darkness/Chaos. Elohim masquerading as El Elyon. The math checks out. Google images of a Pentachoron. Hidden Devil in the middle.
