On a scale of 1 to 10 10 being the best way to strap it I would say that he's at about a 7. There should be at least two straps on the end pipes. Each strap is rated at 4000 lb. They're also should be strapped protectors underneath the straps separating the strap from the rough concrete. I can't tell from the video but they're also should be cables going over top of the entire load. In Virginia, you're not required to put a strap through every single pipe. The load is loaded correctly but the driver should have used a couple more straps on the front and back pipes. Something you need to consider, each one of those pipes weigh over a thousand pounds and they're not just going to blow off there. Okay upon further review there are no cables going over the top of the load so there should be more straps. There needs to be enough straps to cover the entire weight of the load. Something else to consider, if that load is only going 10 15 mi away from the plant to the job site then there's really no need to strap it like it's going to Florida or something.😊

So why does the Carter axle weigh more than the Dexter? Please compare the specs. Are the brakes different? What about the spindles and/or bearings? You say the tube is thicker on the Carter. How much thicker? Why is thicker better in this case? Is this the only difference between the Carter and the Dexter?
