I'm Italian and I do not know English well enough to judge the meaning of words, but I find it very beautiful melody, is my opinion but your voice is probably a little too clean for the sound of the VR but i'm musician and I know it's pretty easy to make wicked text and voice ...( Of course being 15 days with Slash change something...) Ciao.

I don't think this is right, because on wikipedia they anounced Jimmy Gnecco as their new singer. Sounds good though. Slash did say it was going 2 be heavier.

@TheLukejoe Thanks Lukejoe, the music was written and recorded by Velvet Revolver and I wrote the lyrics and melody for this and one other song that they sent. You can find my band THAXTON on facebook, itunes etc. I'd say our best songs are "Shades of Gray" and "The Gink".

@ovnilab no problem ovnilab. Actually it is a coincidence we both did it in 5 days. I believe he released his in early 2010 and it was heavily promoted on mypace etc (i know because he sent me the request to watch his video. Mine was recorded a year before but I didn't post it thinking it might offend VR. In Dec. 2010 I read they had a famous singer and would name him in Jan. 2011, therefore I went ahead and posted this song. I wish Lorenzo, me or another unkown would get the gig.

@thaxtonmusic I wasn't referring to the performance at all. You didn't copy anything there. I was referring to what you typed. You copied almost verbatim where you wrote "I was able to have the songs back to their management within 5 days. " And Lorenzo wrote on his page (over a year before your upload) "Lorenzo wrote the lyrics, recorded his lead & background vocals and sent the music track back to them within 5 days." That, is the copy job I was referring too. Just a coincidence?
