I saw her sing in an intimate setting with great acoustics....Toronto's Massey Hall. She was sublime singing songs from her "Hymns of the 49'th Parallel" album. Truly unbelievable.

I agree with you. The stars of this early Golden age of Hollywood have this wonderful aura about them. As time progressed their lives as we saw them were actually choreographed by the studio. We saw a glamorous side of their life that wasn't real to most of them. But, one can still admire class and glamour?
