Can I run my hots from the lights to the toggle switch then one hot from the switch to reverse circuit, the second hot from the switch to constant power (12v)? (My grounds ran to a 7 way junction box). I'm adding a 7 way junction and keeping them separate from my four way.

You can wire a y split in with bare butt connectors and good heat shink.....

The 7 flat pin connection also has a 12volt accessory pin, red wire one i believe. You could just connect to it and wire add a small bus terminal that would then become a handy 12 volt supply for anything further you would like to add. You could switch control the entire terminal, or wire individual switches to different functions, such as rear lights, front lights, cargo lights, winch, battery charger, inverter, etc. Just don’t go too crazy and add too much! It will bog down your trucks power supply. If one wanted to add everything listed you’d have to add a battery, have it charged by the 12V accessory wire, then wire all the trailer accessories off the battery, or possibly have a voltage regulator in there as well.

couldnt you get something like a xiaomi M365 or any other cheap enough escooter for like 1/3rd the price for the same range and stuff then just buy a seat for like 60 bucks for it and there u go. You can even get a strap for carrying one from amazon or aliexpress for like 20 bucks and u can wear it like a duffel bag. The only thing a scooter like that cant do is store 4 beer cans in the middle.. but u can just get a grocery bag hook for them or get one with one already. Theyre just so much more practical, cheaper, and usually faster and have more range.

I miss my first car.1980 Lebaron. 318 with 727 transmission. It was my childhood car. I should have kept it. Im so disgusted with myself for not keeping it. We have people who call in and complain if there are “too many” vehicles in my yard, which is private property, but the never ending headache of complaints and trespassing cod enforcement officers takes its toll.

Did you add Positive from Reverse Lights to pin 1 Positive from Auxiliary lights to Pin 2 (Center) Positive from tail lights to pin 3? No Relay required?
@triptheroad
@triptheroad 2 ай бұрын
correct no relay needed if you are using LED lights or a small amount of halogen lights. This particular switch is rated for about 10 amps which is well over the current draw of these LED pods. I think each of these LEDs draws less than an amp each. You could put a relay after the switch though if you wanted to run a lot of lights or lights that draw a lot more current.

Sorry to comment a year later and also for my bad english. I am a 18 year old guy from finland and I bought a 89 lebaron gtc and i've done very much to get it on the road again. Shortly after purchase, I realized that the floor was completely rusted out and spent a year welding it. After the welds I took it for inspection... It in fact did not pass for various of reasons. The rear brakes started to lock up during the inspection, emissions were too high, rear wheel bearing was shot, the left lower control arm was wiggly and parking brake did nothing. Then I was broke so it stood a year in my bacyard. during the year a tree fell on it, destroying the rear glass, the left side mirror and left a few dents to the roof. fast forward like a month from that point, the engine bay caught fire since the fuel lines were weakened from the tree falling and started leaking on the hot engine. now I have replaced all the electronics and vacuum lines that were damaged by the fire and have done close to everything for the car to pass inspection. I still have to build a new exhaust system on it since the last owner straight piped it with no catalysator or mufflers. I hope you find this little struggle of mine with my lebaron even a little entertaining and I wish that you too will be able to enjoy your chrysler on the road as soon as possible. wishing you all the best.

Found you via RCR. I’ve always had a soft spot for the Chrysler K-Car Turbo Coupés when paired with manual transmissions - LeBaron, Daytona, Sundance, et cetera. But my ultimate dream from that era is the Chrysler TC - basically a Le Baron Roadster (two-seater). There were a few dozen made with a 5-speed manual gearbox - something it’s competitor, the Cadillac Allante, never got. And those manual roadsters got a special Maserati designed 4-valve head.

I might eventually want one of those Maserati's as well! Would be cool to casually say "yeah I have a Maserati" and it is a unique piece of automotive history
@stoneylonesome4062
@stoneylonesome4062 4 ай бұрын
@@triptheroad In my opinion, there hasn’t really been “true” Maseratis since probably the late 80’s or so. Nowadays, they’re just the exotic subsidiary of FIAT, which is part of Stellantis, and so they share FIAT-Chrysler platforms and components, and the engines are ultimately Chrysler-based V8’s. I own (technically my grandfather’s) a Maserati Khamsin, and sort of own another one in the form of my Citroën SM. The SM has a 3.0L Maserati V6. Both of those cars were designed when Maserati was owned by Citroën, so the Khamsin in turn has the same hydropneumatic suspension/steering/braking/clutching system as the SM.

@triptheroad
@triptheroad 5 ай бұрын
My shims came with the jegs hydraulic bearing. The kit part number should be 555-601126. or 505-82876. If you already have the cylinder I would think you could reach out to jegs with those kit part numbers and get a part number for the individual shims. Hope this helps!

Thankyou so much dude! I found 1 of the 2 part numbers at jegs. $150 but the throw out bearing looks a little different then yours. I believe I can make due with that. The shims were hard to find anywhere. I'm so glad you answered! When I get it running I'll have to send video and confirmation that it works! I'm doing this on a Muncie 4 speed but Input shaft is the same as the T-5 so it should work

I'm considering buying one of these to bring to large car show events that my family and I attend throughout the summer. Some shows are so big you can rent 4-wheel scooters at the event, but I'm thinking maybe I buy one of these to stick in the truck of our classic car. My main concern is how long the battery will last throughout the day. In the past when we have rented scooters at the events you may do 2-3 large laps around the events and everyone takes turns using it. Any insight on how long the battery lasts before needing to recharge? And is it possible to recharge one of these with a power bank?
@triptheroad
@triptheroad 6 ай бұрын
I'm planning to take it to Carlisle this year. I've found battery life to depend primarily on distance driven, it doesn't use much power while stationary. I would think you could easily get at least three large laps in at a show like Carlisle on a single charge.

One of the best reviews on KZbin, especially showing the rough ride. The only mistake I could find in the video was your comment about the odometer in the app. The odometer in the app is extremely accurate. It reads in 10ths, so when it shows you went 708 miles, you had actually gone 70.8 miles. Either ride your car two miles out and two miles back, or use GPS, and then repeat the ride with the Motocompacto, and you will see that the Motocompacto odometer measures the mileage exactly. Please do the test before replying to let me know if you agree, or correct me if I am wrong. I have four of them, so agree that it is a shame that the ride is so rough. 6 miles out of the box is unexplainable. I wonder what your Motocompacto was doing before you bought it. 70 miles is a lot of Motocompacto riding, so you must be pretty sore.. LOL
@triptheroad
@triptheroad 6 ай бұрын
I'll give that a try this week! The fact that it was wrong out of the box leads me to believe there is still something wrong with how it is tracked, but hopefully it is something as simple as a decimal conversion issue.
