I had a play in one of the theaters here. I did not get a welcoming introduction like the one from the person in the video, and my posters were torn down every time I came to the theater. The manager of the theater at that time was rude, nasty, and unprofessional; they had another (nice) manager when I decided to have my play there but he was gone and the administrator, I found out later, had left because of Alzheimers. She was the one who let the new manager in from the back alley where he was living in his car. He initially became the janitor and was allowed to live in the theater, against zoning laws. I did not know this at the time I had my play there, and I assumed that the manager would be supervised. He knew nothing about me or about my play because he froze me out and virtually refused to communicate with me. I thought he could be autistic or had a problem with alcohol because I smelled liquor on him at 11:00 am. At the time of my play I was shocked by the change in his dour, cold-fish personality when he fell all over my assistant, rolling out the red carpet for her, taking her out to lunch, and giving her a copy of his book with an inscription referring to "close contact." I found out after my play that he had told people not to come to it. I told the administrator and he refused to listen to my side of the story. When I got on IMDb.com (Internet Movie Database) the manager started attacking my pages on that site--deleting and changing data, lowering my weekly numbers, and giving my films bad ratings. I've tried everything to get the manager's cyberbullying to stop, and he continues to harass me by hacking into IMDb. The administrator continued to aid and abet the manager by allowing him to live in the theater--where he had 24-hour access to their computers, phone, and other data. When I searched for the manager online recently, some sources show his address as the theater. I'm concerned about his waving his divining rod over whoever comes in there and his pathological behavior--attacking me online many years after I was at the theater (I didn't "do" anything to him). Many of the students are young females and far from home. The administration hides behind Stella Adler's reputation and the names of their alumni. I was treated like garbage here. If a problem occurs, they will ignore it and will try to destroy you for daring to tell people what happened.

Beware, this school/academy has nothing to do with the real Stella Adler conservatory/Studio of Acting!!!! Compare their websites, the real one is stellaadler.com!!!! (NOT stellaadler.la!!!!) Notice the different logo's (the fake one is green while the real one is red).I called them and they said that they have nothing to do with this. Its founded by students. At the end of this vid ( 2 min 50 seconds)they even claim that Stella Adler created this school, BIG LIE!!These folks try to abuse her name to their financial advance!!! The only school founded by her is Stella Adler.com. This is why you have to do auditions for the real one and NOT for the fake one, they accept anyone to earn money from ambitious victims.

I totally agree... that is what a lot of Artistic Directors did "Back Then"... "One must be hard on the students... I love her... but being an Artistic Director myself, I would NEVER YELL and CUSS as much as she did. I watched a video today... and was SHOCKED that she said "GOD D...N" and F*CK" ... it blew me away... Personally, I don't feel you have to YELL or Cuss at your students... I would not appreciate that at all. I don't care who you are... NOT in this day and time.
