It astounds me how these billionaire money people like SIR Jim Ratcliffe or SIR James Dyson couldn't recognise that keeping all this wealth of industrial knowledge complete and thus charging an entry fee to see it (as a simple matter of preserving British Heritage as a business venture) this place could have sustained many jobs locally in opening it up as a walk around museum / education centre. The local and distant schools could have benefitted from this and without doubt would have been visited by millions of people from far and wide...even worldwide. Fred Dibnah was a legend of Great Britain. He was everything British... which is now sadly almost dissolved. SMH

Too bad they ruined this video by adding that stupid piano soundtrack. I know why they did it to get by the copyright, but still it's awful.

This guy has balls the size of watermelons, im absolutely terrified of heights, so seeing this man climb up the side of this chimney with just rope, twine, and ladders is scary as shit. No tie offs, no osha, just a good time had by all lmao.

@@Pilkie101 My harshly critical comment that it was Britain's -final- hour, not its -finest-, since it is my contention that the war broke the nation's back and it can be regarded as nothing more than a pyrrhic victory.

Toward the end of the war the German soldiers couldn't get to the west fast enough to surrender to the Americans vs the Russians because they knew the Americans would treat them better. I've always thought that to be so hypocritical coming from an army that decimated Jews, etc as well as the peoples of Russia. Thanks to Hitler most of Germany's citizens (especially the younger ones) had no moral compass. They worshipped a cruel, evil man who, in the end, turned on his own people by wanting to destroy their water, food, electricity, etc because they weren't worthy. His evil was truly unimaginable.

I’m starting to take a look at what I should see when in Scotland. Had my dna done and I’m 53% Scottish! I had no idea. I knew I had some English and a Danish great grandfather but was completely surprised. My dad had some too but my mom was of people who came to Canada back in the 1700s. When I step onto the ground in a month or so, I am likely the blood of generations stepping back to their home for the first time since they left. Also going to Dublin and have a ‘wee’ bit of Irish as well.
