Marched next to him in ‘02 and ‘03; lots of great things to say about Joe! 💪🏽

@@richardasalazar I marched with him at UL Lafayette, we were good pals throughout those years. I also marched Troopers in 03.

I’ve never heard an early season lot from 03 until today. Fascinating to hear the differences from what we know the final product was. Man, those opener 16th note rolls were smokin fast!

Yes, aside from the corps first year in D1, 2002 was the only year in the corps’ D1 history that it did not make finals/top 12. The show was fun, but didn’t work.

I just attended A Battle Color Ceremony and was reminded of seeing the Jeff Davis Awesome Color Guard in the 80’s, I immediately searched for possible footage and Wow ! Is all I could say...

These guys definitely put in the work to be the best! My father was a Royal Guard and is actually the one that videoed this. I grew up on the black top out behind Davis watching these guys practice. Thanks for checking it out!

Thanks Salazar for loading this up. Those were great days and a lot of practice mornings and evenings. If you wanted to be "The Best" all had to put in the time.

So awesome! I am so happy to have found these videos. These are the videos current Royal Guards should look at to remind them of the proud and legendary roots the team comes from...this is Motivation!

This is so awesome and absolutely amazing!! First and foremost, thank you so much for posting this video. I was Royal Guard from 98-02. We weren't on this level. We heard so much of the Guards from the 70's and 80's and the legend you all created. I admired and looked up to the Guards from the past so much. LOVE IT!
