The thing about new drivers just having to deal with public days is real to some extent. At some point you gotta deal with the pressure and everything but the last few years have had incredibly long C class lines. And it's not even a problem of getting few laps, it's that you wait SO long between the two spins you just did to the next ones it's hard to figure out what you're doing right and wrong. That's why people go learn in parking lots and street and show up better. At a learners day or even our private "learners" day we did, we run freestyle timed runs. So there's no pressure. You spin? Take a second think about it and try again, you don't have to rush off the track. It helps them a lot. Real learners days are even better cause you can have someone in the car instructing. We should want to help new people get better instead of saying "back in my day I had to wait in a really long C class line just to get 4 laps and learn the hard way." Then more people will come to public events because the seat time will be more worth it and less discouraging.

Honestly, it’s not too bad taking the manifold off that truck. Just make sure you put a good quality starter on there and you won’t be back for awhile. I think some models have e85 flex fuel and you have to put a certain starter on there for some reason. I have this same engine and I haven’t replaced the starter yet at 360k miles.
