Hi there I am just about to shelve my container. I like the magnet idea to hold the uprights. However 1 year on have you found they are secure during use ,taking stuff on and of the shelves. Many thanks.
@sanjdesignsКүн бұрын
Hi there Richard. The magnets were really to hold the uprights in place whilst constructing the frame. Once the frame cross members and shelves were added the unit is pretty solid. If you’re worried you can wedge some wood between the uprights and the top of the container (would never screw into it) hope that helps.

There is a wall plug in door chime available. And as far as the security risk they can steal the ring as well, yes the ring has cloud but so does the Lorex for a small fee, I don’t bother with cloud or paying ring fee or Lorex fee because my other front facing cameras around the house would capture and notify even if the doorbell gets stolen. Besides the whole point are notifications as soon as you get a notification and see something suspicious you call the cops right away and take a quick snap shot of the person. In my opinion there are security flaws with all cameras, you just have to monitor when you receive a notification of activity and call police if necessary. Me personally I do not like the ring doorbell for several reasons, it’s not as clear as The Lorex 2k and I do not like the fees

@sanjdesigns28 күн бұрын
You can buy a compressor from places like Amazon. The gun was part of a kit I brought from Aldi but you can also buy them from Amazon amzn.eu/d/6My0D3c. If you don’t have a compressor other people have messaged me and said they tried it with a tyre inflator at the petrol station or some tubing that they used to blow down the pipe. Both seemed to work 😀 Hope that helps

@sanjdesignsАй бұрын
If there’s no noise sounds like your pump isn’t working. It could be something simple like a fuse or connection or could be the pump itself. Check the fuses and if it’s easy to remove the pump then test it on the bench. Hope you get it working.
@bugzx6r800Ай бұрын
@ thanks for reply. That was meant to say I can hear the pump working. Stupid phone. I had the pump off there and there’s no blockage. I was looking for the filter people say is on the pump in the bottle and mine doesn’t have one. It’s just a tube on pump straight into the bottle in a grommet. I’ll have to get a better look. I need the washer this time of year as dirt gets flung up everywhere on my windscreen ☹️

@@sanjdesigns one other thing is the sensor for low fluid is on all the time. Would the sensor stop it from spraying fluid ?
@sanjdesignsАй бұрын
The low fluid sensor shouldn’t stop the water from flowing. If you disconnect the pipe that connects to the nozzle does water still come out? If so then the nozzles themselves might be blocked. When you put that airline through the pipe does water still the water bubble? If not the there might be a blockage in the pipe. Can’t think of anything else and agree you need to get it working this time of the year.
@bugzx6r800Ай бұрын
@ sound. I got a working sensor off I scrapped e46 I have so can try that tomorrow. Yes, the water bubbles when I connect the airline at the nozzles and no the water doesn’t shoot at all even when I disconnected them at the pump it self no water came out. Am just thinking now as I was writing that , maybe the pump is seized but still making sound. Anyway , I’ll be sure to let you know when it gets sorted out. Thanks for your help 👍🏻

If you haven't bought other nozzles always buy hea but professional ones, the protip, to mount them you will need the tips guard of the professional gun that mounts on the one of the control pro systems with the attachment that should be G. The 250 makes about 1.25 liters per minute, so maximum nozzle x17, with the professional ones you also have the 60 degrees of 15 and 17. with the new tip guard you can also mount the TRADETIP 3 FINEFINISH. If tomorrow you switch to the professional, even of another brand and all standard HEA.

Minor problem, the only wired up fuse is constant, so moved it up to and it was a 5amp fuse working on ignition, unfortunately I was not able to place the fuse due to the wire above it, anyway being DC current couldn't turn it upside down, thought of searching internet to see if they do a revers wiring, in the end moved the rubber sheath and cracked the plastic support and placed the rubber sheaf back and the jobs a good-un still a little tight fitting but unlikely to rub or short out.
@stevebooth59266 ай бұрын
It is ESSENTIAL to put the fuse tap in the correct way round so that the 12V hot side goes to the outside top/new power cable. Put it in the wrong way round and you will have a potentially dangerous setup with incorrect fusing.
@sanjdesigns6 ай бұрын
Totally agree and did mention this in the video that the original fuse goes at the top. Easy to get wrong so important to take your time 👍
@thisjustisntright6 ай бұрын
@@sanjdesigns You misunderstood my comment. I was not referring to which slot in the fuse tap to place the new and original fuses. I was referring to the orientation that the whole fuse tap is inserted into the fuse box socket. It has to be the correct way round. Insert the fuse tap the wrong way round and the camera will get its power through BOTH fuses i.e. the camera wiring would be significantly less protected. The other consequence (not safety related) is that if the original fuse were to blow, the camera would also stop working. If you don't have a volt meter to identify the hot (12V) side of socket in the fuse box, then insert the fuse tap with the original fuse removed - if the camera still works then fuse tap is oriented the correct way.

There are too many good options to Ring without subscription. Ring just raised it to $5/month, $50 annual. I installed the Lorex 2K Battery for my niece and they love it. Many great features. And works flawlessly with Alexa. And no fees, like Ring. Eufy also makes many capable video doorbells with no subscriptions and free chimes / base stations. I have the Eufy Battery 2E (2K HD) with base station (chime, 16GB, WiFi extender). It’s only $75 on Amazon (regular price $150). If you want a more advanced model, the Eufy E340 / S330 offers build in video storage (with or without a base station) and dual cameras with package detection / protection. If you must have a name brand, the Google Nest doorbell is also very good. It includes 3 hours of free video. Plus subscriptions if needed. Like many I started with Ring. But will probably never go back. Note: Currently Eufy only works with 2.4 GHz WiFi. If you only have 5 GHz to work with go with Lorex or Nest.
@sanjdesigns6 ай бұрын
Thank you and agree that the Ring hike in their subscription is disgraceful. Am aware of Eufy but never installed so cannot comment. If they use an unencrypted SD card similar to the Lorex then I wouldn’t want to take the risk for the sake of $50 a year. This was an honest review and given the choice between Ring and Lorex would still choose Ring - despite the extra subscription cost. Hope that helps.

@@sanjdesigns Hi, I’m still confused. How are they going to steal data from your SD card? What are they doing with it? And who cares? Just curious.
@sanjdesigns6 ай бұрын
So as you could see in my video, it’s really easy to remove/steal the device and remove the SD Card. The SD card can then be placed into any laptop/PC without a password and all the images, videos and timelines can viewed. This to me is a massive flaw and I wouldn’t be comfortable with that. Whilst the Ring is expensive, it’s cloud based so if your bell gets stolen or removed no one can see the images. Just my thoughts.

Definitely the best video coverage I have seen yet in a doorbell. I’ve previously used Ring, Nest, Lorex and Eufy. The Eufy does have a build in SD card but has the options for an in house base station or online storage. Personally I’m just not concerned about someone getting my doorbell videos. I think the best deal in video doorbells is the Eufy Battery 2E (2K HD), It’s $75 from Amazon (cheaper on eBay) and includes a base station (chime and 16 GB of video storage). No built in SD. I’ve used and it works well.

I have the Lorex CCTV Cameras and they're pretty good and reliable so no problem recommending those. The doorbell is however, as you said, lame. It all depends on how much work you need to do to install it. If it's just connecting to existing wires then go for it. If you need to install new wiring and transformer then I wouldn't bother. Concept of the Lorex doorbell is good, but the execution and reliability is really poor. I know Ring has increased its prices which is disgraceful, but it's still better in my honest opinion. Reference cleaning the sprayer each time, I personally wouldn't leave it for more than 3-4 hours as the paint can dry in the pipework and sprayer which can cause problems.
