(Thought I'd make a fun little POV to go along with this GORGEOUS ambiance, it's my favorite to listen to while I read or study!) It was on a chilled and still Autumn night that you walked through the halls of the Elvenking, the soft padding of your bare feet echoing down the chamber carved from the breathing rock of the living Mirkwood. The magic encompassing the air wrapped itself around you as the stone doors fell back into place behind you. Despite the chill of the ever-changing seasons, there was a large fire that warmed your heart as you passed it by, the white fabric of your long, embroidered gown gently whispering across the floor, the gold thread weaved to make Elven runes on the sleeves and hem sparkled in the drowsy firelight. As you neared the edge of the glorious dining hall you began to hear the muffled voices of the beautiful elves hidden behind the curve of the hallway. Thranduil, the Elvenking, was there. You heart flutters at the sound of his voice, as smooth as the trinkling of the river and as commanding as the rain. You could hardly make out the hushed words hidden from your curious ears, you found yourself leaning against the wall, your head cocked and your ears straining. You sighed silently, and leaned your head against the cool stone wall, content to wait to catch a word. Your heart leapt into your mouth when you realize several seconds had come and gone, all without a word from the gathered elves. You stiffened, listening. You jumped behind a pillar when you heard the familiar shock of Elven boots on the stone floors breaking the silence of the halls. Your spread your hands on the pillar, daring to inch out so that you can see who had come. ''Why do you linger in the shadows?'' Your heart seems to stop as his quiet voice travels through the hall and onto your burning ears. You step out, sheepish despite yourself, likened to a child guilty of sneaking sugary treats between meals. You place your hands in front of you, daring to glance up from the boots walking toward you. Your eyes travel from the elegant fabric of his cloak, over the embroidered roots and plants of his sleeves and up to those piercing blue eyes framed by the crown of berries and twigs sitting atop his head and outlining his cheekbones. ''I... I wouldn't dare intrude...'' You began, your voice nothing more than a whisper. He raised a hand, cutting your stuttering explanation in half. To your heart's joy, Thranduil was smiling. ''Even after I requested your presence?'' He cooed, his lips etched in a smirk as his lifted hand hovered over your shoulder, traveling down your arm to barely graze the top of your hand in front of you. You dropped your head, a smile threatening to break onto your features. ''My lord, please accept my sincerest apologies...'' his hand had found its way back up your arm and a single finger touched your chin, gently turning your face to look at his. He looked down at you, his head angled back, his eyes scrutinized yours. ''Now, now, nin dilthen doe (my little doe), I thought we've discussed the issues of apologies,'' His eyes had situated on your lips as he said this, a glint lit them as they flicked back up to meet yours. ''Apologies are not fit for my queen.'' Your eyes remained on his, your heart racing in the fabulous way love could only make it race. ''Thranduil...'' you breathed. He smiled again, his eyes crinkling at the corners with the familiarity and adoration you so enjoyed, and he so freely gave to you. ''Come, my love, join me in this insufferable meeting,'' his hands found your waist and he pulled you to him, abandoning the propriety of his rule in the hidden privacy of the late hours of the night. ''Be the waves that calm the raging oceans of my mind,'' he whispered into your hair as he held you to his heart. You let fall your head onto his chest, his heartbeat steadily against your cheek. You breathed in the sweet, fresh air that ever floated in the halls of the king of the wood. Thranduil smelled of wood and the cool stones of a river, the spiced scent of pine made your shoulders relax and your eyes close. You felt his hand smooth your hair to your back. ''I am so tired...'' you mumbled into his cloak, smiling softly at the thought of retiring to your warm chambers with the memory of his hands in your hair. ''Not just yet will you retire and leave me, dearest one,'' he gently raised your head back to look at him again, he pursed his lips with a twinkle in his eyes. ''Come.'' You walked beside Thranduil as he led you into the place of his meeting, the eyes of his captains and wisemen falling onto you as he brought you to a placement of chairs with soft cushions and pillows of velvet. He held your hand as you sat down, the picture of grace, his eyes revealed his admiration, he bent over your hand and barely touched your knuckles with his lips as he pulled away. His eyes left yours last while his body began turning to face his men. ''My wife will be joining us for the remainder of this meeting,'' his eyes flicked about the group, daring them to protest. None did. Thranduil's eyes peered down to the table, his jaw flexing, trailing a scroll laid out in front of him. ''I, myself, suspect a more...prosaic motive,'' he continued on as if his previous discussion had never been interrupted. ''Attempted burglary...or something of that ilk.'' There you stayed, long into the deepening black of the night. You listened to your husband's orders, given out so thoroughly and succinct. Often times, a lesser servant would hesitantly make his presence known, with an ill-received message dying on his lips. One such servant appeared now, sheepishly reporting the findings of the guards stationed north of Mirkwood. The demonic spiders that trailed this wood were becoming bolder. Instead of lashing out in his quiet way, Thranduil pinched the bridge of his nose and nodded. ''I thought I ordered that nest to be destroyed, not two moons past.'' With a plea of forgiveness, the servant scuttled out to relay the reestablished orders of his king. One elf, the captain of the guard, Tauriel, stood up with the raking of her chair against the stone. ''My lord, those demonic spiders grow ever challenging, they are steeling our livestock and terrorizing the eastern borders, I cannot stand idly by-'' Your lungs expanded with a quick inhale at the stiffening posture of your husband. His eyes bore into Tauriel, challenging her to continue. ''That fortress lies beyond our borders, keep our lands clear of those foul creatures, that is your task,'' his voice was soft. Tauriel's head bowed, and she turned from the room. You released the breath trapped in your lungs, examining the king's face from the side, his eyes closed for a brief moment, then he continued his discussion. Slowly, the crackling of the fire became an overwhelming plead for rest, you felt the lids of your eyes grow heavy with every beat of your peaceful heart. Your felt your body relax, and softly began the dreams induced by the magic of the Mirkwood. (Might make a PT. 2 with the rest of the audio stamps if anyone wants one <3)

Okay im workin now, writing my book, wearing headphones and listening to this magical vid. But sometimes i get distracted by my phone (it happens to the best of us lol) but his footsteps (in my imagination those are his) I, like a scared school girl hiding my phone. Or my phone will be gone and i get more detention lmao! So adding those foot steps u made a huge difference compared to other ambient vids) And even more it keepes me writing. Thank u!!!!!
