Hello, what a good production value and very good tutorial mate !!! Thank you for doing this. I have a question, now that you made also a playthrough for ODD. Which from these 2 games you recommend? For the moment I'm not owning neither from these 2 but I'm planning in the near future to purchase one from these 2 titles. So, could you please be so kind and tell me in your opinion which was a better game. Thanks!

Thank you :) It really means a lot to hear that all the extra time and effort to make a quality production is appreciated. Regarding which of the two games I would recommend… they offer quite different play styles. So it would really depend n your preference. As far as which one I prefer, I think I enjoy the added complexity and decision space that Tiny Epic Dungeons offers, it feels like more of an adventure, where ODD feels like more of a dice puzzle with a light dungeon crawling theme. Honestly I don’t think you can go wrong with either of them. I hope that’s helpful :)

Not that it matters too much but you can only gain the bonus focus and/or health off of successful skill checks. If you fail the check you gain no bonuses.

I thought preforming a Heroic Action ends you movement? That how I read it on Pg.7 MOVE, but I could be interpreting it wrong..

I have dungeon and dragons, I have hero quest. And in each, their are strong female characters. What a shame. I liked your video on tiny epic. But This starts as a joke. What a shame and disrespectful towards the other games. Your statement is off, ridiculous not true and clearly their to push a certain political agenda. What a shame indeed.

Thank you for this feedback. In hindsight that was indeed an unfair statement to cast on all the other dungeon crawlers out there. As I have played more games in the genre I have seen precisely what you point out with strong female characters being represented in a lot of them. What made this particular game stand out to me was that it contains only female characters which I have not seen elsewhere (although I'm sure there are other games that have done the same that I'm not aware of) I'm glad you enjoyed the Tiny Epic video :) Thank you for letting me know, and bringing this to my awareness. I shall certainly be more careful about making such broad generalising statements in the future. This kind of constructive criticism is very helpful to make my videos better going forward :)

Although yes it's only females it really does NOT stand out. You can play other dungeon crawlers and pick only female characters. Therefore making your statement really bad. In general you don't have to put modern day political agendas into a game. A game is a game for us to leave this reality of craziness and enter a world of fantasy where we can be whatever we want not compare it with modern day politics and personal view points. Plus your statement didn't even really make sense because of all the people you especially have played many dungeon crawler games. You should know better. Word of advice. Stick with what the game has to offer not what it might represent in which in this case has nothing to do with "typical muscular men" which does NOT exist in any case. Anyway glad I could help. Continue the good work.

Nice production - like the overlays - red arrows pointing at things, big red cross when serpent defeated, highlighting abilities etc. As you mentioned- icon heavy - seems a bit like hard work initially - probably smoother after a play or two.

It certainly is a lot of icons to absorb, but it definitely starts to make sense after a couple sessions, and then you can often figure out what something means without all the extra tools. One of the trades offs of squeezing so much game into such a tiny package.

Ah, the joy of solo play - assume Etherna threw the Amethyst Figurine into the other room- how convenient for Sir Lanon to pick up. Ok - can go with that - except….. maybe a dice roll to see if the figurine shatters when hitting the floor. D6 1/2 shatters, 3-6 survives intact.

If you want something super light and casual you could look at Dungeon Roll. And then for something on the other end of the scale, Tiny Epic Dungeons is a lot of fun once you wrap your head around all the icons. I have videos for both on the channel :)

You certainly can :) I believe the solo rules were developed for Pandemic Fall of Rome, and then they adapted them for the base game.

Yay 🥳 I’m so glad you found it helpful. I don’t think it would work with only 1 hero (I’ve never tried) The rules say to run 2 when playing solo. I think the balance might be a bit off with just one. But there’s certainly nothing stopping you from giving it a go (I might even try myself now that you mention it)

Thanks for the terrific video! I'm glad that you're enjoying it, and it was nice to see someone go into the "behind the scenes" aspects so people learn more about the game and how it came about. Have you tried the monthly solo challenges on BoardGameGeek? I think you'll like those as well! For fun I wanted to see if I could beat Euler with these same dice rolls -- with my last die I closed a nice big loop that helped secure a 220 - 216 victory! The only thing of note is that the player and Euler alternate drafting after each roll, not after each turn. Like in a multiplayer game, each player rolls the dice once per round and drafts first on that turn. So in solo mode, Euler drafts first on rolls 2, 3, 6, 7 and 10 (just like the second player in a two-player game).

Congratulations on a significantly better score than I managed ;) Checking my stats on previous plays, my personal best score is 241. And thank you for the clarification on how the draft is supposed to work. I shall be sure to play it correctly in the future. Good catch. Thank you for pointing that out. I realise now I was accidentally counting the special workers from Tuscany in addition to the regular workers, instead of them being used as a replacement of a regular worker. Oops.

This is an excellent presentation, in fact, it illustrates that, with a bit of imagination (‘the rope bridge broke behind her’), the game becomes a true dungeon delve and not a ‘dice puzzle’, as some have commented in other places. Thanks for your efforts.
