Thank you so much for making this video! I hate that every time I leave jiffy lube or any oil changing place that’s not the VW dealer they tell me “we can’t remove the oil light” they always say it has to be the dealership because they don’t know these new cars! I hate that they lie when there’s videos like this!! Thank you!!!

Needed help with a customer, seen one where it said to press and hold the 0.0 trip button on dash and Idek if that actually worked 😂 wish I would’ve seen this one before

Absolutely STUPID Volkswagen. Whoever made up this procedure needs a kick in the a** and never be allowed to work on cars again. I own a small garage and do a lot of oil changes and volkswagen manages to screw it up with each of their models.

im betting you have a trip reset button in the center or your instrument cluster? looks like this 0.0 , if so hold that button with the ignition off then while holding turn the ignition on and a prompt will pop up. OR...... just let me know whats up im happy to help. I am as proud as a random person who made a dumb video about an easy method to reset an oil light can be :)

Make sure you click the range mode first on some newer models. So it specifically shows just the range. Then try holding the OK button for around 5-10 seconds. Lmk if you still need help
