Can you get any volume at top with this wig? Is it able to be fluffed up??

@@GWhite-jb2lj No, I don’t think so. There is no permatease and only some helper hairs. It’s very low density so meant to be sleek and low profile. Raquel Welch has lots of permatease but her prices are a lot higher too. If you’re looking for a casual daily style this is great (I highly recommend for casual) but she can’t be teased up much because her wefts will show. Hope that helps:)

What did you mean you hope it’s iced?? I know it’s hard to get used to seeing ourselves in colors we’re not accustomed to wearing, but WOW, Josie!! Are you kidding me? This color has a whole lot of advantages going on for you. I think it goes very well with your skin tone and look at how your eyes POP! Girl, this is BEAUTIFUL on you!!!! ❤ I mean it, wholeheartedly.

@@IDreamOfWigs Thank you so much! Yes, it’s really hard to step outside our box and try something new and different. I said “iced” meaning frosted like a cinnamon roll lol with blonde highlights. I had to use a lot of makeup to make it work but it taught me that we can really push our boundaries with hair color:)

So cute! I've been curious about that gray color option. How does it run size wise? I know it's a pet/ave, but do you think it could be comfortable for a circumference of 22.5?

@@jaffasmum17 Hi, yes, this color is gorgeous, especially if you want a realistic look. My circumference is 21.25” There is apx 3/4” of room to extend the straps. So my cap would likely fit you. That said, there is an industry standard of 15% variations on size so your cap might come in larger (fingers crossed.) The color and versatility on this wig are worth a try:) Please let me know if you get it and if it fits!

@@IDreamOfWigs Thanks! I love it too. I think the light shade is right in my ballpark. Not a dark red. My family said I was strawberry blonde but it just looked like light brown with blonde highlights to me. The other one I always got was - Dishwater blonde… so rude lol

The color is super subtle. It reads like a gorgeous platinum silver gray, but there is a hint of lavender in it.

@@gerrieshapiro2147 Definitely shiny right out of the box as all basic synthetics are but easily dulled by dry shampoo, talcum powder or, sometimes I just use a little cornstarch from the kitchen;) Hope that helps.

You did a GREAT job, Josie! (Somehow this got listed under my husband's name. I tried to change it to "Karin Knowles," but it it showed up under his name anyway!) You're much braver than l am! (I've only done one "live" nature video on my FB/IG pages, and it was MUCH SHORTER than yours!) I saw this wig in person when l was at Josie's house. 🏠 When she put it on, it REALLY DID L👀K like it was growing out of her scalp! I think 🤔 that this color L👀KS very GOOD on her--even though SHE prefers BLONDE. 👱♀️ BTW, IF l use an eyebrow pencil,✏️ l always use a blond one. (I learned this years ago from my aunt when she was a Mary Kay consultant. She said that anyone could use a blond eyebrow pencil.)

Another question about wigs riding up. I also think the reason yours isn't riding up is because you've shaved your hair, which would help alot. I still have a fair amount of bio hair from the top of my ears down but Very little on top and some large completely bald areas. Just don't know if I'm wearing my grip right to help.

You are absolutely correct! Shaving my head turned out to be the best trick to keeping my wig secure. Those short buzz cut hairs are like a wig grip that’s glued to your head. I don’t even need a grip anymore! My thin fine hair was so silky - even my wig grip would slip up. It takes an act of courage but I highly recommend everyone give it a try. Thanks, that’s a good point. I made the video after hearing a lot of people talking about the issue of wigs riding up and had to work with the wigs I had. I’ll try to get my hands on a pixie wig and do another demonstration of where the wig should sit. My camera set up and studio (bathroom) lighting needs work as well lol

The buzz cut makes my whole head work like a velvet wig grip. Works better than glue or grip! Not only has it streamlined my wig wearing experience but I’ve really grown to love my buzzed head look too:)

I love this information and video. I do have questions that could maybe be answered. I also have extreme riding up at the back. So how does one accommodate for this when purchasing a wig as to size?

Sizing is a whole other issue in wigs. Sadly there is no real industry standard and even within a manufacturer you will find varying sizes. Each wig is constructed of stretchy material by humans with varying weights of fiber… There is no way to determine fit until you try her on, I’m afraid. The purpose of this video is to alert people that they may feel the wig is too small when in fact they’re just wearing it incorrectly. That said, the industry is starting to make more large and petite sizes. Now that you know how to wear your wig on your skull and not pulled down onto your neck, I hope you find a comfortable fit.
