Did he get water in the diff??? Many folks will think they can ford water in their 4x4s and forget that their drivetrain has several breather tubes (trans, diff, etc) -- many times these breather tubes have check-valves but those can fail and allow water into the components. If you will be fording water often -- you will want to extend those breather tubes so something like this does not happen again.

great vid!! would Crawl Daddy be possible in a Gladiator Rubicon on 33” M/Ts?
@dirtybunchjeepclub1986
@dirtybunchjeepclub1986 8 ай бұрын
Thanks! Glad you liked it! Yes, it is possible; however, I would be very wary on Crawl Daddy. Do you have a lift? If you are sitting at stock height on 33s, you are going to be at real risk for body damage. if you have a good spotter and you patiently work your way though it you may be make it but, personally, I would not try it on 33s if it were me. If you decide to give it a try, please let us know how it works out. 👍😀

Lots of…….marbles…..for setting up that close to the water line at Hurricane Lake. Tons of gators there and they all come close to shore at night for feeding.
@dirtybunchjeepclub1986
@dirtybunchjeepclub1986 8 ай бұрын
While we'd love to be able to claim courage, the truth is that we just didn't see any gators and this is the first time anyone has said anything about gators in that lake. Living in Florida, we know that you can find gators in just about any body of water but we saw no signs to indicate that we were at risk. And every campsite in the campground is right on the water like that so we just didn't even think about it. Fortunately, we had no issues with gators or snakes but we'll definitely keep our eyes open for that the next time we're out there. Thanks for letting us know! 😀👍

I just drove this portion over Thanksgiving, but traveling south bound. I was alone in my Tundra so I didn't try the bypass that you did over the washout. I did a u turn and about 3/4 mile back, I made a right turn on another dirt road. It had rained quite a bit the night before and the road was fairly muddy. That turned into a paved road that looped back into the GAT south of the washout. So if traveling south, that loop road is about 3/4 on the left before the road closure.
@dirtybunchjeepclub1986

Thanks for letting us all know! Still surprised that this section of the road has been washed out for so long. Wonder if they'll ever fix it?! 🙂
@off-roadridingadventures7129
@off-roadridingadventures7129 10 ай бұрын
@dirtybunchjeepclub1986 I doubt that they will repair it. Looks like a bunch of hunting land on that road, so I'm guessing that they love the limited traffic with the road closure signs. I almost rerouted when I seen the sign headed south, but curiosity made me take it.
@DocGTO
@DocGTO 10 ай бұрын
Your first trail closure was ours as well but we hit that in 3/22. Crazy to see they never fixed it at all. We learned that if that "don't follow gps" sign is up, GA doesn't lie. 😂. There was no bypass as I think the washout had happened very recently to us hitting the closure. There was also two dead hogs at the bottom that were rotting so it smelled real bad. They must have gotten caught up in the road washout. Soo, that washout had been there over a year so not sure when it will be fixed, if ever.
@dirtybunchjeepclub1986
@dirtybunchjeepclub1986 10 ай бұрын
Oh wow! 😁 That's crazy! Glad there weren't dead hogs at the bottom when we rolled through. We saw several of those signs during our time on the GAT as well as the Georgia Traverse and all of them were legit, so we would agree with you on that. 👍

I've never done a Badge of Honor trail before, but live only a few hours away from Rausch Creek, so I might give it a try. How do you think a stock Rubicon Gladiator would do on these trails?
@dirtybunchjeepclub1986
@dirtybunchjeepclub1986 Жыл бұрын
A stock Rubicon Gladiator can handle these trails; however, if you are new to off-roading, I would not recommend Crawl Daddy. That trail can cause body damage if you are not careful so perhaps you can focus on the others for now. All of these parks rate their trails by color and will show that way on the map so that you can decide which ones to try and which ones to bypass. Our biggest recommendations would be to take is slow and go with others so that you can work together ... that really helps! Have a great time out there and please let us know how it goes!

@dirtybunchjeepclub1986
@dirtybunchjeepclub1986 Жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delay, we've been down hard with COVID. Thanks for the question! What to air down to is a hotly debated topic and the bottom line is that you'll, over time, learn what works best for you. For something like this, we typically air down to about 20 pounds. That's enough to give you much of the benefit with little of the risk. If you don't already have a system for airing up and down we strongly recommend Faster Flate, you can find them here fasterflate.com?sca_ref=3548033.38F46srOPe. Not giving any names but I met up with a Jeep club here in North Georgia and was ignored once I arrived at the meeting place simply because I was driving a 99 Cherokee Sport 4x4. My wife and I have ran into this issue with a few jeepers that get together for a day ride or even a weekend trip. We also have a 2020 Rubicon and have had no issues whatsoever with any jeepers when we show up with it, so with that being said I wish you and your club the best but I for one would rather ride alone simply because of the ignorance of others that seem to think that the Cherokee is not a jeep but only carries the name. Nothing against you or your channel or your club for that matter, but someone needs to get this out because I know a few others with Cherokee’s that have ran into the same issue. Be safe in your travels and leave no trace.

Sorry to hear that you've had that issue. Can't speak to all clubs but we've not seen that happen.
