I'm having a hard time to create a encolsure of the car I modeled.. Spaceclaim gives this message: Unable to intersect bodies. Cannot merge bodies. (Operation failed because the faces and edges would combine in a way that does not form a valid solid or surface.) An error occurred while creating the enclosure - the selected body could not be subtracted from the enclosure body. I spent like 120 hours modeling this car, does anyone know how to solve it? I used Catia Imagine and shape and then made a flat floor and filled the side (modeled just half car) with surfaces made in Generative Shape Design module. The used the "Close Surface" tool to turn it in a Solid....

how do we calculate lift and drag coefficents then? should use lift and drag formulas?

Your video is very helpful. I have a question. I understand that the areas used in the calculation of lift and drag are different. If I input the projected area used for drag calculation in the reference value of Fluent, will this same area be used for lift calculation? Shouldn't the projected area in the y-direction be used for lift? I would appreciate it if you could answer my question.

I'm experiencing a floating point exception in my numerical solution, what could be the problem?

trying to analyze f1 car but it is showing too many cells when it gets imported to fluent, i have student license so what can i do to reduce the cell count

im stuck again, when i do "Is" i get nothing, it says "command 'is' is not found, but can be installed with: sudo apt install ironseed"
