I thought this bike was illegal in France with 100+BHP at the back wheel, no ABS, traction control, power modes, electrical witchcraft? I'll assume the rules have changed for locals and take my bike out again in a few weeks just to check :-), (k7 with more than a few mods, thankfully nothing electric!)

Although I have this very bike, I am sitting at work right now, so I will play this video and dream until after work comes!

I'm assuming Sth. Africa not that it's relevant. The best SV1000 vid. I have watched. It gives a true sense of what the bike is about. Thank you. I wonder what it's like plonking about town? I'd be interested to know.

It gets a bit hot plonking around town in the summer, but none the less it's a very civilised bike in an urban setting. The power it has in low revs gives it the ability to move quickly when asked, and it's also narrow, leans well, and has good brakes. The only criticism is wrist pain with the oem clip on bars. I had mine raised, but this isn't the cheapest mod. Mileage is reasonable if you don't race between lights. Still, the engine is a work of art. I've tried all the latest 4s, but even though they have more power at higher revs, the riding experience does not compete. The SV is a great bike. Get a good one with the stator magnets done, and if possible with the clutch chudder mod.

@@warrenhalpin Thank you. That's most informative and good to hear inview of the fact that I'd contemplated raised, straight bars and no fairing.

Do you have any suspension upgrade? Progressive front springs, hyperpro rear absorber or progressive rear spring?? It was a beautiful ride. I take my SV1000S to trackday time to time, but im so far from this level...

Hi, still stock. Just had a stiffer spring installed on the rear and suspension set with a local race mechanic

Always thought the SV was one of the nicest sounding machines out there. Got an 07 with dual Yoshis. Thing sounds like pure sex.

Why the needle of your speedometer moves so fast downward?
@gameadventures1
@gameadventures1 8 ай бұрын
That's the rev counter, it's moving down as he's going up in the gears which makes it so the engine speed can spin slower but maintain the same speed or in his case achieve a higher one

How hard is it to install? Whats the cost? Thanks!
@francoisdevilliers230
@francoisdevilliers230 7 жыл бұрын
No very difficult. If you have a good exhaust shop / Mechanic who can measure, bend and weld the pipes you're good to go. Very low cost exercise. In the region of USD 120 in total.
