I’m considering purchasing the Track Mode optional extra. I wont ever use it on the track but i like to make the bike more aggressive and a faster throttle response plus when ive seen videos of the track mode dash in action i like the all red rev counter. Is it worth spending the £300+ do you think?

Beste s1000rrnapo, Mooie uitleg van het TFT scherm en je Engels is echt niet slecht:). Ik zie dat je in damping stand ook de selectie "Track kunt maken, op mijn 2019 niet dus. Is dit iets wat je extra moet aangeven dat je dat wilt? Heb jij de laatste updates al geinstalleerd bij de dealer? Verder indien je de laatste update niet hebt (sinds gisteren bij mij opnieuw "ge-update" bij KTM Venlo) kan je met anti wheelie mode off, geen wheelies maken (er zat een bug in de software). Niet dat dat belangrijk is; maar toch;). Nu gaat het wheelie maken wel in de tweede versnelling 4000 tot 5000 toeren en bij snel gasgeven komt ie omhoog (slip op 1). Wellicht kun je eea laten weten, dan weet ik of ik weer terug moet naar de dealer in Venlo om track damping te krijgen. Met vr. gr., Martin Dear s1000rrnapo, Nice explanation of the TFT screen and your English is really not bad :). I see that you can also make a "Track" selection in damping mode, unfortunately not on my 2019. Is this something that you have to specify extra at the dealer that you want this? Have you already installed the latest updates at the dealer? Furthermore, if you do not have the latest update (since yesterday I have "updated" my 2019 SDGT at KTM Venlo) you cannot make power wheelies with anti wheelie mode off (there was a bug in the software). Not that that is important; yet;). Now the wheelie is possible in the second gear 4000 to 5000 rpm during fast accelerating the SDGT wheelies (slip on 1). Perhaps you can let them know, then I know if I have to go back to the dealer in Venlo to get "track" damping. With kind regards, Martin

i m dutch, but i can answer in english easier, 4 everybody. Track enabled in suspension was extra setting in the KTM dealer computer. you can enable it but after some investigation it does not work. so enabling at the KTM dealer has no improvement. for anti wheelie mode, if you enable it, you cannot make wheelies, that is correct. when you enable track as ride mode by default anti wheelie mode is DISABLED so you can make wheelies. after 2500km's the experience on the electronics is that it is not flawless, it is not consistent. sometimes the front wheel lifts easy sometimes the electronics are doing something to prevent it. i allways drive in track mode enabled, throttle track mode, anti wheelie disabled, traction control on 1. (Wheelie on purpose is allways with clutch 2nd gear around 3500 rpm, or 3rd 4000 rpm, trafficlight sprint i keep the front wheel down with rear brake and throttle open (like motogp riders)

Ik ben me momenteel aan het oriënteren op een 718 Boxster of toch de 992....1 keer een diepte investering doen of toch kiezen voor de Boxster. Ben er nog niet over uit, maar t'is een prachtbak! Super coole vids ook. En erg stoer om Monza 'te nemen' met je Boxster. Geniet van je prachtbak en op naar het voorjaar!

Boxter is de betere rijders auto. heb daarvoor een 991.2 geprobeerd en die laten staan. een 911 heeft wel meer body en uitstraling maar de boxster met de midden motor is fantastisch, beter wordt het niet. Ik adviseer op beide auto's om PTV (porsche Torque Vectoring (oftewel mechanisch sper diff achter)) te bestellen, veel stabieler en meer grip. Succes met je keuze en alvast veel rijplezier!

@@LeonBold Ja, zo'n diesel komt duidelijk op de lange rechte stukken tekort maar bij uit accelereren en bochtenwerk is hij moeilijk te volgen. Kwam je link tegen onder een artikel op Autoweek over de 718T. Thanks voor het delen.

Pasm 10mm on the boxter. Pasm 20mm is to stiff on riding the street.(pasm 20mm is other (stiffer) springs and stiffer swaybars) The Pasm 10mm on sport plus is for a normal trackday more then enough. (i rode on monza and zandvoort (last one is bumpy track, but suspension is more then sufficient).
