Would’ve loved to see how you have all those wires set up under the body. So basically you had to wire all the lights to one JST plug or buy like his JST bundle adapter that has like 4 into 1 plug. How did you do yours?

Incredible setup. You really have a creative mind and talent for R&D on the Ryft.

Would you be so kind as to tell me what specific colour the Toyota 40 is? I am planning to paint one and I don't see it on the Tamiya colour chart, or if it is from another brand. Thank you.

Do you have the 3d files available still? Shapeways is gone and looking for interior panel and dash

Your Ryft is awesome. Love the dashboard and tilt indicator. Thanks so much for sharing this. 🫶

So glad you two are still on , my last build was a tf2 in 2014 and im just getting back into the hobby !!

It's nice to see you still have your Ryft. You did a good job on the wiring and overall mods including the Dimond plate. 👍🏆

Great job on this video. It really helped quite a bit seeing the car broke down. I have been collecting parts to put together a Ryft so this really does help. I agree the gearbox is beefy. 👍👍

What’s the difference between these two transmission , quality ??

Is this transmission strong enough for pull heavy loads ??

Yes, it's all aluminum case, and all steel machined gears.

I bought one at a flea market with the box ... The box was busted up so I did my best to repair it ... The car is mint ... Instructions are perfect and battery compartment is beautiful ... If you answer me back I'll tell you what I paid

I had this as a kid, but painted it up in silver&black and never got to do much with it because the charger I got worked off a car battery instead of wall power. I managed to get the battery charged up I think twice. I moved from country to country a few times and ultimately had to leave it somewhere, it was too big to bring along for nothing. I didn't get enough run time on it to even dial it in, which sucks now thinking about it. Just gave my son a FTX Tracer as a first sorta "real RC" in the sense of it not being a total toy, and it got me thinking of the car I got from my dad back in the day which was this. Spent the afternoon bashing around with the Tracer, unfortunately in bad weather, and plan on doing more driving with my son, and some upgrades as he gets a bit more confident with the Tracer, also ordered a second one so we can both have a car to drive at the same time, and if his breaks I can pick parts off mine while we wait for replacements.

Got 2 rigs that im planning to do this swap. 11% od will come in handy. 👍
@GCMRacing1Ай бұрын
Our OD is only 11%, which is enough to correct the steering push on long wheelbase, and help some with uphill and decent. It does NOT scrub when you drive straight.

@GCMRacing1 Got it, plan to place order before end of year. Will be making video as well on the conversion.

Nice, im planning on getting a couple of these. Had one question, is one available with counter rotating shafts? (Scx10.2) Seen older videos and it didnt specify if the shafts move same direction or opposite of achother.
@GCMRacing1Ай бұрын
Not counter rotation drive, no. Same direction, same as stock transmissions.

I can only say wow. You are so in that stuff like me, totally addicted. My project is a RC4WD Miller RR rebuild. AR60 axles , wraith parts, Element stealth X tranny with overdrive and longer steel drive shafts. A lot of thinking an trying before all fits as desired. The goal is like yours , building a Rock/Trail crawler.
