Very nice remix. Nice to see you back! About the HGSS HQ samples, have you tried looking into Kurausukun's hacked SDAT? He pulled all lossless samples from their sources (Roland, Kontakt etc) and made a custom bank with them!

Thank you! And that is definitely something I want to look into, I've been meaning to find a hq version of the Slap Bass at least because I am yet to find another bass I like as much as it.

I used a portion of theirs to make what I gave our friend for this. I can't speak on what they have _now_ but as I iterated through a lot of them, they didn't pay much attention to making volume similar on their samples compared to HG's. This should be fine for SF2 arranges, but not for replacement in BASIC or restructuring the system to reflect Gen V or what have you. The difference here is that it's IMA-ADPCM and 32khz as opposed to 48, so there is some loss, but the lengths are around BW. A warning, last time I checked, some of the loop points on their samples aren't quite good, but the samples themselves are long.
