Hi, the foldable mats can have a tendency to move around on a hard floor such as wood / laminate if you are not using them with a futon mattress on top. If this was the case I would personally buy an anti-slip mat to go under the tatami, the type that are made to go under rugs and are readily available in most high streets. Hope that helps.
