Me n my girl at the time, first saw Mark play his solo debut at Nita’s Hideaway. That was 1995. When the Tempe music scene was at the top of its game, and would be for another 5 years. Then everything took a giant shit at the turn of the millennium. With the closing of Long Wongs, we knew.

I'm really impressed by the tambourine playing of all things: 16th grooves, 8th grooves, and backbeats on 2 and 4 - it's really in time.

I'm a big fan of Playing For Change - Song Around the World on KZbin. The organization that teaches music education to kids in 20 or more countries that has street musicians, "Buskers" and famous musicians like Ringo Star, Robbie Robertson, members of the Grateful Dead, Carlos Santana, Jimmy Buffet, et al. I think the Gin Blossoms should do a couple of their songs on PFC. Their songs are known around the world. PFC videos are the same song but the musicians are in many countries but not playing at the same time. They all are wearing headphones while listening to tracks laid down by the other musicians! Many have kids, choirs, and all kinds of different instruments and different languages all mixed perfectly, both the audio and video. You'll see instruments you've never seen before but the guitar is universal. Jesse could be at his home, Robin at his house and Bill Leen in Apache Junction along with kids in Tempe and singers in a dozen other countries around the world. Even a few at the Grand Canyon or the Meteor Crater! ... estar bien señor.

@Butterflyfly4673 жыл бұрын
@@BeiruteDsd Unfortunately him and the band wish to leave the Ivory material as it is. Although he still does play and sing the songs in private every now and then. Solely to tune his voice when he plays the piano. He does have some music he recorded in a couple side projects called Fotograph & Fairline. I believe you can find a couple songs here on KZbin. He also recorded some solo material a couple years ago but I can’t share. Not sure if it’ll get released anytime soon but it’s very well written material. He’s living a great life and happy in his journey. I really can’t share too much more of his personal life. But he’s beyond blessed and doing well.

Sometimes you act as if you're the only one who's ever suffered And I know you know better than that And sometimes the things you do to yourself You worry me clear to the point where I can't Be with you when you need me I know I should walk away and yet It's yourself you're killing But it's me you're scaring to death You've always had good intentions, I suppose But we both know the road to hell is paved with those Did you honestly think the breath of life was free? (Look what it's done to you, look what it's done for me) I'll be with you when you need me I know I should walk away and yet It's yourself you're killing But it's me you're scaring to death Sometimes it's just too hard to be your friend (I just can't watch you go through all of this again) You wrote this script, I guess you know the end (Sometimes it's just too hard to be your friend) You've got to learn how to learn You've got to learn to believe In something greater than yourself for you and me Sometimes I wonder if you ever listen to me at all (I always listen to you, and I come when you call) You know I'll stand by you, every single step of the way But it's your decision I'll just hold your hand and pray
