Maybe you could save back the money you were out on Gym Membership monthly toward your own treadmill for home or a recumbent stationary bike for home. I purchased a used treadmill & recumbent stationary bike for home for $200.00 a couple of years back. I located mine through an ad in paper for sale. An older couple was moving and didn't want to take them with them. They both were in excellent condition. Maybe could find them at a better price maybe too used. Just a thought. I like the privacy of using equipment in my own home. And I can wear whatever I want to when working out too without that extra expense of having to purchase workout comfy clothes. I have also added in some activity daily that I can do at any time. Squats at sinks when I am washing hands. Doing laps around my kitchen table after meals. Doing step ups step downs using my indoor stairway. Doing leg lifts sitting in chair or side of bed or lying in bed. Doing laps up and down my porch or driveway. Movement helps my joints to not be as stiff too. Can also do side bends while standing. My local library has weekly 1 day per week free chair yoga classes led by certified chair yoga instructor that volunteers her time for community. Maybe your local library may also have some fun free classes like this too. Can even incorporate some of these home activities during work possibly. Work sinks do squats - laps around space where you eat meals - step ups & step downs at an area where there is a step inside or outside your work area - Laps in an area where you can walk at your job during breaks or lunch maybe. Leg lifts in chair at work. Wishing you positive path ahead.

Struggling is rough. Maybe make a meal plan… and portions…and take a picture before you eat-for portion size. If you bite it, write it! Lol. Sugar is going to keep you hungry, and keep your insulin levels high. And when insulin is high, weight loss stalls. And hunger kicks in!
@KetogenicSusan9 ай бұрын
Sugar spikes insulin/glucose (even in non-diabetics) and what comes up must come down. Then because of that spike and drop, you are hungry again.

85%!!!! Whoop whoop!!!! That's awesome!!! And making a full week of meal planning is awesome - 'cuse it's so hard to do all that prep! 🥰🥰 I am a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner so I know how scary and frustrating GI problems can be - especially when it's your baby who is sick and hurting. Praying that this new MD is able to see what the other couldn't so your baby can start to heal. Love and hugs! 💝💝💘💘

First, I am glad you got your diagnosis so you can have an answer. Lupus is an autoimmune disease and just like any disease - people have different levels of it, not everyone wears the same size shoe so to speak. 2nd - I do not have lupus but I still understand the knee pain. I haven't been able to get on my knees since early twenties. It was due to inflammation and then later the weight that I gained after back surgery. I have noticed in the past month i can get on my knees again. I credit that to weight loss yes but getting rid of inflammatory seed oils from my diet, such as vegetable, canola, sunflower, saffron, sesame etc etc oils. If i have to use an oil, its avocado. I don't know if you use any kind of oil in your cooking but maybe try reducing that and see if that might help your inflammation? Worth a shot I suppose! I hope you keep us updated on your journey, unless of course it is too personal then I understand.

One step at a time. One day at a time. You got this. Learn as much as you can about lupus. When I was diagnosed having diabetes I have attended as many diabetic workshops as possible my community has offered through my local county extension office that the university provides educational resources to for assisting communities. I also have joined diabetes support group through state health department. I participate through zoom for support group monthly. I have also participated in nutritional classes that have been offered through my county extension office too. All these services have been provided free to anyone in community. I have found by absorbing as much as I can about diabetes it has helped me tremendously to grow and keeps me more focused. Wishing you the best forward also.

Amy I know I don’t know you personally, and I obviously didn’t know your sister... but I am in tears watching this. My heart breaks that such a young life is gone too soon. Carry your sister’s memory with you as you live through the years she didn’t have a chance to experience. 💚🐝

Amy Curtis we’ve just gotta remember to be as kind to ourselves as we would to others in the same circumstances. And I haven’t uploaded it yet, but my next video will hopefully make you laugh some. I had a pretty embarrassing thing happen to me today out in public and instead of wallowing in it I made fun of it... you’ll see! I’m so anxious to share it but I’m not finished editing. Don’t worry about the update you’re dreading... I think what you do about whatever it is that’s got you down is what counts. How you move forward is more important. Be proud of how far you’ve come! 💚🐝

The obstacle is the way! (great book by Ryan Holiday). This is applicable to all areas of life. Hard times and adversity make us stronger. The more hills we climb, the stronger we get. Sure, there's always an easy way out, but that won't get you where you want to be.
