In 1980 we had to rent a hotel room in Big Bear where we could pick up the LA station that broadcast game 6 of the finals at 2:00 a.m. LA's first overnight broadcast. TV went off the air at midnight, but a tape was flown in from Philadelphia to show the game. Basketball wasn't broadcast at that time. The year before I listened to the finals on the radio.

im from scotland, so we never had the chance to watch basketball as it was never picked up over here back in the day.. love winning time Lakers show though, damn, the actor playing magic is his absolute double! so is the guy that plays kareem but i know this as im enter the dragon and black belt jones mad :) much love!

Thanks for uploading Mike!! I watched the hell out of this growing up. I have spent weeks trying to remember what it was. This has basically no digital footprint, or at least gets completely drowned out by the "How it's Made" stuff. I literally can't find anything about this show except for your yt, and the vhs's on amazon. Not to question the literally creator of the show, but wasn't this episode 2? Are you able to post episode 1? Thanks!

@@1987tvfreak Little boy he was drafted in 1979 into the NBA. He was in the finals in 1980 and won his first title. This was filmed in 1980. He wasn't known as Magic until he got into the NBA and became famous which was instant. Should just google him instead of just making stuff up.
