Hello there! Love your videos! Just got an Eratix and a NX7e+ and Realflight. Realflight is something everyone should use first aye lol. Man that is a big help. Actually tried vr lastnight that made it more realistic but the resolution is not as good but i think it will help in ways. So now for the Q&A lol. What transmitter are you using there. What did you start on and what are you using now? And what is your setting for the eratix if you have that available. You seem to have it dialed in. Was it a BNF or Pnp? I had one short flight it was a bit windy but i think it will be amazing. What kind of Glue do you use on it as well. I know i will need it or your not having fun right? HAHAHA! Any preflight tips and adjustments for the plane the controller or the electronics would be greatly appreciated :}

I was looking at this but in the EU they were rather expensive ( read 220 euro PNF). Wanted an umx evo timber but that wasn't on available till 2 days ago(bought the crack 6 weeks before). I got a crack yakk ( 180 euro with 3 batts EU perk I guess). I must say a crack yakk is not BNF or PNF takes quite the time if you don't want to be anoyed everytime you look at the seams. Flying the Yakk , maybe I would like it to be a bit heavier like this looks but not by much. I have zero regrets though. This for me openend up the 3d flying too. The only reason I will buy the umx evo timber is that I can fly it in a bit more wind and practice landings with it more right outside my house.
@honeywoodhobby3 ай бұрын
Awesome! The Crack Yak is fantastic without a doubt, and another great tool to hone your skills! So glad you are enjoying it! You'll love Timber Evo for that! A bunch of us setup a fabric runway at the field and fly our UMX planes in 20mph winds lately and almost die laughing 😂 Too much fun! Thanks for watching and sharing friend! 👍

Impressive flying skills !! There’s nothing like flying your own contraption for the first time… Couple of pointers: 1. An 8 x 4 prop is probably a bit much for the motor and ESC. If I recall a 6 x 4 might be more appropriate for your motor. Sizing the prop is best done by looking at the spec sheet and using the manufacturers recommended size. 2. Balancing the plane is VERY important. The rule of thumb is that the plane is balanced when it sits horizontal or slightly nose down when supported under the wings at a point 1/4 to 1/3 back from the leading edge (approximate center of lift). If it is tail heavy controlling it can be very difficult and often results in a crash. Having said that… great job ! Welcome to the hobby !
@honeywoodhobby3 ай бұрын
Thank you very much Chris!! This is the best corner of the hobby we’ve found so far 😉 Flyin’ has really become our jam. After a few flights and very poor battery life and rather warm motor, we went to a 6x4! It was a lot less lively and left us with similar flight times, but the motor was much cooler! It CG’d out about 1/3-1/2 way back on the wing but still felt a bit tail heavy. The closer I looked at it the more I realized the horizontal stab was angled a bit down 😂 I promise to measure things more next time haha. Thank you kindly for the wise words and advice! We’re starting the next one soon and plan to film the process this time 👍🏼
