I know the beta is long over, but as a tip for when the next one starts: You don't need to manually target stuff for A2A missiles on planes, just move them towards the target. If you give an actual attack order on the target by right clicking it, the AI tries to line up a gun run on it which is why the plane suddenly veers away from the target and ends up not even launching missiles half the time.

Forced myself to watch until the end to give them the benefit of the doubt. There's no doubt that the 15 people who are actively developing this game are smart, innovative individuals. However, I'm extremely disappointed in the path that those who are leading them have chosen in terms of marketing. Just another example of the work of another amazing game development team going to waste because of greed. Sad to see, but par for the course in the gaming industry these days.

Hey man, that's some serious input haha. No doubt the devs did a great job at making BA but I guess we'll have to see when it comes out! I do think the people involved should make enough to have a nice life if that means paying for DLCs to keep the content flowing then in my eyes that is fair. I do hope they will price according to region, so we can get a big and diverse player pool :)

@@Fezeh I would be fine with map DLCs if only the host had to pay for it. But faction DLCs are a huge red flag for me. Another red flag is the fact that they said that they won't be allowing any custom servers. They giving off huge anti-community vibes with this and I don't like it at all. It's really sad too because they made an absolute masterpiece of a game but they going down the wrong path with these types of decisions. For me, it's just history repeating itself because I've seen where this kind of corporate sellout decision making leads development teams plenty of times before. I thought this team might be different but this Q&A didn't just take the wind out of my sails, it obliterated my entire mast and any hopes I had for the game is now dead in the water as far as I'm concerned.

Pls no with the different naming systems for ranking. Just stick with one universal naming system for us all when it comes to ranking. I don't care if it's simply just rank 1,2,etc... Not trying to worry abt what the Russian equivalent to a Lt. Col. is or some crap like that. This is just some PC crap that you see coming out of games post-launch. Y'all should be focused on what's important to get the game going right now such as the actual algorithm that the ranking system will use. Now is not the time to be shifting focus onto things that aren't important in the grand scheme of things. My main question right now though: is how is this game going to be able to compete against against other new games coming out in the RTS genre? Stormgate is slated to be the next big game that BA will have to compete with and that game will be free-to-play. Will BA follow suit to try and compete, or will they not learn from history and repeat the mistakes of many game devs who came before them? It seems to the same old story I've seen thousand times before in PvP games, unfortunately. Game devs make an awesome game, but expect to have a "big pool of players" to help balance their matchmaking and spend all their time developing a system that's fair for everyone under those expectations, but they don't appropriately market their game so that "big pool of players" doesn't last long after launch (or never happens to begin with) due to the barrier of the game's purchase price. Therefore, it only leads to longer wait times between matches because there's not enough people to actually play under that system and this is what causes even more players to lose interest, and/or the devs eventually cave and you're left with unbalanced matchmaking which causes the same effect. Free-to-play is the only way forward from what it sounds like to me. If they don't launch this as a free game, the matchmaking WILL suffer and cause the ultimate demise of this game, just like it has every other PvP game in existence with a price tag attached. Mark my words if you don't believe me. Just wait and see...

Great match but it really illustrates why I hate Frontiers, Baltiisk, and Parnu so much. Grindy as hell with low tactical freedom, it just feels like smashing your toys into each other for 45 minutes like Wargame.

I agree, i like my maps wide. Although i must say the second iteration of this map was already a big improvement, it feels a bit like Highway to Seoul in Red Dragon.
