Wow, What a great trip, the views are spectacular, I have binged watched these episodes and you have put together great episodes of your trip/adventure. I have been thinking about doing a trip like this for ages and you have now made me realise I should just go do it. May I ask how do you find/research the off road sections (TET)? I could spend days in area's like that just taking photos😍 The sceneray is just breathtaking. is there still a video on the section from Andorra to Espinama? as I couldnt see this section or have I missed something? Well thank you for sharing I have enjoyed your adventure very much.

Hi There Thank you for watching. Would highly recommend doing similar trip,well worth it. Re. Route, You could find some guidance on TET Spain website, I think there should be downloadable gpx files I did only those gravel section I have heard of before and accessible to my bike . But to be honest the Picos are stunning and pyrenees endless, full of fantastic roads and views Apart from having a very few points of interest I was traveling without a rigid plan

How are the tyres doing? is the grip on gravel worth what you lose in road grip and increased noise level over the Road 5? thanks
@piandthewheels
@piandthewheels Ай бұрын
Hi ,over all happy with these tyres Now I have more confidence going on light off road/ gravel I don't think you loose much on pavement, these tyres actually are pretty good even on wet. The only problem was the noise ,which after couple of thousand miles either diminished or I got used to .Just came back from Pyrenees and Picos and tyres did great job on various types of roads and conditions. Would definitely recommend it

I swapped over and am very happy with them.I’ve just come back from a few days travelling over Exmoor and Dartmoor ( 1k miles) I agree that they are noisier than Road 6s particularly when cornering but I can live with that .I felt they gave great grip on single track lane’s especially those with loose gravel.

If you don't mind a question, did you get exhausted by doing all that? I've signed up for a 4 day guided trail trip, hopefully not as technical as that and I feel I may not have the leg strength and cardio to make it through. I've started doing some exercises but being close to 60 I wonder if it's going to do any good. @@piandthewheels

Hi, I'm happy to answer any questions. That were a tough two days of riding as I had no previous experience of riding such a heavy bike in such a demanding terrain. I was tired more mentally rather than physically. (Being so tense whole time perhaps, costed me more mental effort then it would an experienced rider.) My physical conditioning is slightly above the avarage as I exercise on the regular basis(and work as a PT), so physically I was fine. We had regular breaks for snacks and drink(very important to stay hydrated etc) Regardless of the difficulties of your upcoming trip I would recommend investing some time in improving physical conditioning. Four days in the saddle still maybe demanding. One or two sessions a week in the gym + some extra time playing on the bike will make a massive diference. Out of interest, where are you planning to go?@@baldandbiking

What a well-groomed trail, smooth hardpack void of ruts, rocks and sudden obstacles which is rare commodity out in the real world. For the majority of riders the AT is best left on the pavement or a dirt road at most.

There are many expensive videos made using Dartmoor's natural environment. To capture it by one man, using just his own equipment, and imagination is excellent, by including the background of the wind which is a permanent feature of Dartmoor, AND to have the atmospheric music of Loreena McKennitt at Ditsworthy Warren captures the spirit of the hard tough times portrayed in WAR HORSE! I appreciate your sensitivity and achievement in masking this video. Thank you!

AT is a very capable bike ,I am a novice off road rider and the bike gave me a lot of confidence. Didn't feel heavy, although it is a heavy bike. We had an opportunity to test it in various terrain/surface and the bike was a pleasure to ride. Ofcourse for someone who does only trails there are better/lighter choices (crf 300 etc) AT is great all rounder with plenty of comfort for touring

Capable and beautiful bike but it's not where it shines. I wouldn't be dropping a $20k just for fun. That terrain is for the XTZ 150, 250 max. Africa Twin, just like big Beemers are for long distance traveling IMHO. Cheers 🤠

Hi, yes you are pretty right that dropping 20k worth of bike would be no fun if it was yours. However, on this occasion, we were given a unique opportunity to ride/test AT in various terrain, on the road, gravel, green lines, etc without the stress of dropping it. That's the idea behind the 2DAYS EXPERIENCE, at HONDA ADVENTURE CENTRE UK. You never know in what type of situation/terrain you may end up in. Over that 2days I have learned a lot about this bike's strengths, abilities, etc. Great experience, highly recommended! regards!

I got some spine tingles from the landscapes of the moor that you showed, as well as the stonework that must have taken generations. My father's people came from Atherington, so there's that, too. Well done, and the alpenhorns certainly created a mood.
