The loader has a scale built-in. That's why you see him raise it up and down. It's finicky and doesn't always work correctly.

I was told that areas like that are considered a watershed areas . These areas are set a certain amount of land surrounding the water to protect the water quality.

I am thankful for this video but surprised to learn that there has not been a fire in this area for 600 years. Does it have anything to do with the newly activated class x microwave tower installed a couple of years ago and owned by a company in Texas? Anyone know what this tower is being used for?

Its been almost a month… it amazes me how certain fires get taken care of REAL quick but when it comes to the main ones taking over, Oregon drags there feet than OH! State of emergency?! Ya lets wait till thousands and thousands of acres are GONE! THAN we will step up and handle the situation. Unbelievable. Im pretty sure the FD could have dealt with most of these fires and all these major fires within the past 3-5 years would have NEVER HAPPENED! But no we have to live in fear of waking up to being burned alive. We had to evacuate MULTIPLE TIMES with the Holiday Forest fire alone and are on the verge of a level 2… its amazing how terrible Oregons become these past 5-10 years

Interesting how all of these "wildfires" start in timber farms .. timber farms have no resistance to fire the way a diverse forest with old growth does . It's curious to me though how they let some fires burn and attack others at the beginning .. pretty certain in my opinion this is just evidence of corrupt timber companies finding loopholes to "salvage log the little bit of old growth we have left. That's why they let it burn . You timber guys should be ashamed of your greed.. and when our towns burn down because eventually they all will it's just a matter of time .. I hope you will be so happy with your short term gain. And the destruction of our homes and I hope your children and great great grandchildren will know the truth that the ones who came before are so greedy they steal their children's future!

I think they've had some helicopters putting water on the edges in particular places to slow the growth.

@@sherridrobac7485 Bahaaaaaa... more fear? OK? At present, this particular wildfire isn't a direct threat to humans, apart from the fine particulates thrown up into the atmosphere. However, as Summer slowly progress to Fall, the prevailing winds will shift. Typically, that's been from summer winds of N/NW & S/SW to an Easterly wind (meaning it blows toward the west). If that occurs, this fire will move west into abundant (tinder dry) 1000 hour fuels (BIG stands of BIG trees), and towards the community of Oakridge. Ask those folks if they might be just a wee bit concerned! BTW, we've had 8 fatalities this wild fire season in Northern California and Southern Oregon. 6 civilians and two firefighters. Two yesterday! And the other 6 were all within the last month. Not to mention hundreds of homes burned. Not sure where you reside. But here in the western U.S., wildfire is a very dangerous and all too common occurrence.

There are quite a few out there. I would look into farm equipment auctions and used construction equipment sale listings. People do still use craigslist. Sorry I can't be of more help.
