Anybody know why there are American books about jiujitsu, written as early as 1925, and probably earlier, but Helio would have just been born around then, and he claims that he learned jiujitsu in his 20-30's, and invented bjj. Helio claims that him and his brother learned Japanese jiujitsu, and then turned it into mainly a ground combat. Why can we find books from many years before the Gracies that teaches jiujitsu in America, and the books show ground jiujitsu moves?

Even if it wasn't part of the ruleset, American Kickboxers knew how to throw and check leg kicks. They picked up from Japanese fighters long before the overblown fight Roufus had with the Thai. Benny Urquidez was quite good at it. I just don't know why Roufus never really did it.

Hello lost to Santana by TKO and it was on video....lost y side kick to the ribs. Also according to Brazilian articles from the 1920s hello lost to a few Japanese guys badly but was ruled a draw due to the no points system he fought under......articles say he was rag dolled by throws and takedowns but it was fought on super soft mats.

What a tool. Bjj would be better off without the cult of the Gracie’s. Your belt system made boy scouts out of all of you. You suck at takedowns and your striking speaks for itself. Your old news and your family won’t ever have a MMA champion in the modern era. Kron was the best hope and he can’t strike or even get a takedown. Last I checked your a punching bag for the UFC.
