They were originally called The American Pit Bull dog ...Written in a Book by the great Dr.Carl Semencic ..Who wrote the classic book the World of Fighting dogs..im assuming it was mid eighties as he was writing his book they changed the name to American bulldog

It’s really always going to come down to the dog because every dog is different but I’ve had both and I’ve had very good luck with Scott type. They are just a little healthier. They do a little bit better in hot weather and a little more versatile but the Johnsons are very good family dogs better house dogs I think both great can’t go wrong
