What a coincidence! I was actually working on a reconstruction of the story reel for the ending! Though I was going to use the audio from the original release of the ending. Also, what did you use to remove most of the sound effects in the "Subsequent" portion of "Don't Feed the Plants"?

The original ending is what the history needs to send his message, it's the true ending , the theaters ending was just because they were scare that if it wasn't cliche happy comedy finale they will lose money,it's just marketing and I despise it. thank god they realise the original cut

No, the reason was that the test audience loved the film up until Audrey died, then as one of the directors stated “It became an Icebox”, so they had to scrap the ending, and came up with the ending the film was originally released with. Publishing a film isn’t easy, if we were to put the version of the film with this original ending into modern day test screenings for Rotten Tomatoes, it’s possible that the critic score and the audience score would be below 60%, saying that the film is bad, which would drive away audiences wanting to see this masterpiece of a movie. And also, scraping this ending? Wasn’t easy either, they basically threw millions of dollars into the ending, and had to watch it all burn because of this failed screening.
